🚨 Israel Pounds South Lebanon in Overnight Barrage, Killing at Least 18 as “Ceasefire” Collapses

Israel launched more than 20 airstrikes across southern Lebanon overnight into Friday morning, leveling residential buildings and killing at least 18 people in the heaviest assault yet since the latest ceasefire, according to Lebanese journalist Hadi Hoteit, reporting from the Nabatieh region.

The toll is preliminary, with rescuers still searching for people trapped under rubble. Many victims were killed in drone strikes on cars and motorcycles before dawn, Hoteit said. The bombardment hit towns across the Jezzine, Marjayoun, and Nabatieh districts, with entire families among the dead.

🔸 In Kfarjoz, a strike on a residential neighborhood killed 9 people from different families and wounded 20, Hoteit reported.

🔸 In Sharqiyeh, 4 members of one family were killed.

🔸 In Kfarsir, a man, his wife, and their daughter were killed.

🔸 In Harouf, another family was killed, with 4-5 people still missing under rubble, including 2 children.

🔸Israeli forces also struck Adchit, where Hoteit said first responders could not reach the site because of drones overhead, and shelled the Jezzine hills with white phosphorus.

Residents who had returned home under the truce were again forced to flee. The bombardment continued despite a US-Iran memorandum that calls for an end to Israeli attacks on Lebanon.
