Bold leaders take bold risks and have bold impacts. They aren’t reckless, they believe! Watching the impact that Deion is having is about being bold with your belief. It’s not just wins and losses, it’s bold belief in who you are and what God created you to do. Be bold!
Some people are unable and unwilling to move forward because they have swapped their windshields with their rear view mirrors. Their focus is on what was, the past, and what was lost. Instead of looking forward to where God is directing, what is ahead, and the promise to come.
Honor those that you say you value and have esteem for; recognizing their worth and the role that God has given them. Don’t confuse acknowledging them for honoring them. Let’s honor those who are worthy of it.
Don’t get discouraged when the work is bigger than you believe you are capable of, God will surround you with people who have the skills to help you fulfill your purpose. He always has a better plan than we do!
Your ability to carry out God’s will for you includes understanding the priorities that He has placed in your care. Keep the main thing the main thing, and don’t get lost in any distractions that arise.
Instead of judging the next generation for what they lack, pour into them what you have learned. What they lack is a direct result of what was not poured into them. Our failure is their future. If you see they are broken, become a builder. #helpthenextgeneration
Proverbs 17:27–28 (NKJV): “27 He who has knowledge spares his words,
And a man of understanding is of a calm spirit.
28 Even a fool is counted wise when he holds his peace;
When he shuts his lips, he is considered perceptive.”
There are times when my lack of a response, is my response. Prioritize your peace of mind over the entitled expectations of others. Learn to be at peace in the midst of the storm. Be comfortable and confident in who God created you to be. Everyone isn’t meant to walk with you.
Never let the expectations of other determine how you feel about you and who you are. People will tie you up in knots with their subjective and often uninformed expectations to get what they want. Love yourself fully, even if it means others are disappointed.
Don’t let those who reject you, try to redefine you. Recognize that their rejection is the process for removing those who aren’t meant to walk with you. Their rejection invites their removal, so that God can finish his refining in an environment that is refreshing.
Don’t be consumed with hurt when you are rejected. Recognize that rejection can offer you release, relief, and rest. Don’t push your way into painful places. Sometimes the greatest answer is an exit.
Pastor YOUR pasture, shepherd YOUR sheep. Every problem is not tied to your purpose. Prioritize your family, prioritize your purpose, prioritize your time. Don’t run dry watering someone else lawn.
There is a point when the torch must be passed to the next generation. Too many leaders hold on longer than they should, without developing others. Don’t let the fire go out in your hand because you didn’t know when to pass the torch. Transitions are natural & necessary.
Don’t seeking to busy, seek to be fruitful. Busy-ness doesn’t mean that you are important or fruitful, it just makes you tired. God didn’t say be busy, He did say be fruitful.
Pour yourself “into” those who love and honor you, not “out” for those who tolerate or devalue you. Recognize the difference and care enough about yourself to make the adjustment. Pouring in is a transfer, pouring out is a waste.
