🌧️⚡You don’t wait for a storm to prepare. NYC shouldn’t either. Now’s your chance to help strengthen NYC’s future. @NYCMayor formed the Commission on Government Efficiency (COGE) and is seeking public input on changes to the NYC Charter. We’re calling for a stronger Rainy Day Fund with clear rules for deposits and withdrawals which will protect New Yorkers, especially the most vulnerable, during economic downturns or other potential threats.

Glad to join communities across the city in celebrating Juneteenth and commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. This day is a powerful reminder of the resilience, strength, and contributions of the Black community and also reminds us that we must do more to build a just and equitable future for all.
#Juneteenth is an annual reminder that none of us are free until all of us are free.
In the spirit of freedom and liberation, we must continue the work to ensure this country lives up to the promise of "liberty and justice for all."
Wishing you a joyous Juneteenth!
New York City always comes back. Today was more than a parade, it was a reminder of what makes this city special. In a time when so much can divide us, millions of New Yorkers came together in celebration, pride, and joy.
Congratulations to the @nyknicks on a historic championship run. This city is proud of you.
Deputy Comptroller Charlette Hamamgian testified before the City Council Committee on Contracts on practices around Master Agreements. These arrangements are employed by several City agencies to speed up the procurement as well as leverage the City's bargaining power. Yet a report issued by the Comptroller's Office last month found key details on what agencies purchased, how many units, and price-per-unit were often not tracked. Our Office is committed to working with our partners in government to make spending more transparent and efficient.

Thank you @NYCMayor for supporting our proposal to amend the City Charter and create rules that would strengthen our Rainy Day Fund, preparing New York City to absorb any potential fiscal shocks.
The NYC Comptroller’s Office was proud to join community members, partners, and elected officials at Brooklyn College to celebrate Caribbean Heritage Month.
Observed every June, Caribbean Heritage Month honors the history, culture, and contributions of Caribbean communities across the United States. In New York City, that legacy lives in the music, the food, the colors, the stories, and the generations who turned memory into community, and community into home.
Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebration!
Early voting is officially underway across all five boroughs!
Skip the Election Day rush and make your voice heard before early voting ends on June 21. New Yorkers are casting their ballots in this year's primary election, which includes federal, state, and city races that will help shape the future of our city and communities. Primary elections determine which candidates will move on to the general election later in the year.

¡Wepa! 🇵🇷 Proud to march in the 69th Annual Puerto Rican Day Parade. More than one million Puerto Ricans call New York City home, it felt like they all came out to celebrate! Nuyoricans strengthen our communities with their culture and traditions. We honored the impact of Puerto Rican New Yorkers as we march down Fifth Avenue together. ¡Que viva Puerto Rico!
Loud, proud, and together! 🌈 Brooklyn Pride marked its 30th year with a celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community and the Northeast’s only twilight Pride parade. During Pride Month, we honor the LGBTQIA+ community who fought and continue to fight for acceptance, equality, and the freedom to live openly and authentically, especially in the face of growing hostility and attacks on their rights.
This Pride Month, and every day, we stand with the LGBTQIA+ community and recommit ourselves to building a more inclusive city for all.
