Lake Ontario will always be Lake Ontario.
Canada is our closest ally, friend, and economic partner. Western New Yorkers understand how unique and consequential our relationship is with the Canadian people. This illogical trade war, and absurd and juvenile rhetoric from Donald Trump, will cost us jobs on both sides of the border.
Meanwhile, families are struggling to survive, and Trump is proving just how out of touch he is, ripping away healthcare, cutting nutrition assistance, and driving up costs with tariffs and an illegal war of choice in the Middle East.
America deserves a president who puts the American people first. Trump continues to fail that test, proving that he’ll always be the worst president in our nation’s history.
Small acts of kindness.
Everyday moments of grace.
The gentle power of a good deed.
Our media may overlook it.
Our algorithms may not amplify it.
But our world is full of this spirit.
See it.
Celebrate it.
Be it.

Six years ago today, we lost a giant of the Civil Rights Movement and the conscience of Congress: Congressman John Lewis. He reminded us that ordinary people have the power to create extraordinary change and that the fight for a more perfect union never ends.
Today, we honor his life and legacy by continuing the work he dedicated his life to: protecting the right to vote, standing up for justice, and getting into “good trouble.” My House Democratic colleagues and I will never stop fighting for equality in the pursuit of a more perfect union.
Epstein survivors released this video today urging senators to block the confirmation of Todd Blanche for Attorney General. They’re trying to get to 20,000 signatures on their petition to send a message to the Senate. https://t.co/TTYhR1ZT9y

Families deserve opportunities to make lasting memories together, and high costs shouldn't stand in the way. This year, the Erie County Fair is lowering ticket prices and expanding affordable options for families this summer. From reduced admission prices to $7 and under food options and $2 ride day, these changes will help more Western New Yorkers enjoy one of our region's greatest traditions without breaking the bank.
As the country’s third-largest county fair, the Erie County Fair is an annual tradition for generations of Western New Yorkers and I applaud the Fair Board's leadership for recognizing the financial pressures families are facing and taking meaningful steps to make this beloved event more affordable and accessible for everyone.

This LIRR strike was only possible because the Trump administration authorized it last fall. Before that, a strike could not happen. Facts still matter, @POTUS.
93 years ago today, on March 4, 1933, Frances Perkins was appointed U.S. President FDR's Secretary of Labor, making her the first woman appointed to a Cabinet position.
