NEW: There is still a drought, grilling is banned in parks, and smoking and other sources of open flame remain illegal throughout the parks system, and a statewide burn ban is in effect.

That being said: Moderate to heavy rain late tonight into tomorrow morning is expected, light to moderate rain likely during the day tomorrow Thursday and steady light rainfall through Friday night. Wind gusts of 30-35MPH with breezy winds continuing through the weekend. It will also get cooler with wind chills in the 30s.

Before the rain gets here, take time to report clogged storm drains and basins on your street to 311. Immediately report any water leaks, particularly your building's toilets, sinks, pipes, and the fountains and hydrants on the street to 311.

New York has issued a statewide Burn Ban in effect until Sat, 11/30. High risk of brush and wildfires. This burn ban prohibits the starting of outdoor fires statewide for purposes of brush & debris disposal, as well as camp fires & open fires used for cooking.

We teamed up with our friends at @NYCGreenThumb to teach a class to #Greenthumb gardeners about planting and caring for #espalierfruittrees. The class planted and espaliered two #heirloompeartrees at a community garden in East Harlem and we are very excited to watch them grow!
