Planning for the future of NYC. Working to create thriving neighborhoods with access to housing, jobs, resilient infrastructure and a vibrant public realm.
We joined @NYCMayor to announce Block by Block — a plan to tackle the housing crisis and ensure everyone can afford to say, grow and thrive in NYC.
We'll plan with communities to fix outdated zoning, create more homes near transit & use new tools to get affordable housing built.
The future is bright! ☀️
Our Young Voices in Planning Summit — organized alongside @NYCHerFuture — helped give young New Yorkers the tools to shape their neighborhoods and be powerful advocates for their communities.
Participate in public hearings for projects that would create:
- 75 new homes in Bed-Stuy
- 75 new homes in Murray Hill, Queens
- 84 new homes in Long Island City
And more!

Today, the City Planning Commission will vote on two Green Fast Track projects in Unionport and Bed-Stuy that would together create more than 240+ income-restricted homes!
Join at 10am to learn more!
Thank you to everyone who joined us, @CMKevinCRiley & @EricDinowitzNYC for our first White Plains Road Walkshop!
We explored the corridor from Gun Hill Rd to 237th St, discussing how a neighborhood plan can create homes & jobs, improve public space & invest in the community.
Other projects on the agenda include:
- Nearly 540 income-restricted affordable homes in Mott Haven
- Community center in Bay Ridge

But actually…
The CPC will review the first SEQRA-exempt project, which has 140+ homes, including 40 income-restricted ones.
These reforms will save money & time, and get people into homes faster.

☀️ Heads-up, New York. Thursday brings the first real scorcher of the season, with the heat index climbing to 98°F (37°C) by early afternoon. A Heat Advisory is in effect from noon Thursday through 8 PM Friday. The best move on a day like this is to find a cool option, meaning any public or private space with air conditioning, like a library, a mall, a friend’s place, or a city cooling center.
Find one near you at https://t.co/04ULpqxfIY. 🧊
Cranking AC across the city also strains the power grid, so timing your energy use matters too. Here is how the day will feel hour by hour, and what to do at each step to stay ahead of both. 👇
