My heart yearns for the Lord and for a deeper connection with Him. The Bible reminds us: "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." Matthew 18:20
This week, The Big Fix is the place to gather, worship and experience the presence of God. See you there!
A TRIBUTE TO HIS MAJESTY KING OYO
Growing up, I never imagined that one day I would have to write words like these about someone I grew up knowing as a young King.
We grew up in the ghettos, but Upper Kisugu was one of the places where we would go to play. As young boys, we would move around Kisugu Primary School, the Church of Uganda, and along the road towards Muyenga.
There was a home belonging to His Majesty King Oyo around that area. I am not even sure whether that home is still there today, but I remember it clearly because, to us, it represented something special.
Every time we passed by, we would look at that place and wonder: โWhat if one day we meet the King?โ
We hoped that one day we would see him, talk to him, perhaps even become friends. We were young, and these were the simple dreams we had growing up. We never got that opportunity.
But what fascinated us most was that the person we were talking about was not some distant figure from history. He was our age. He was young like us. Yet he was a King, carrying the enormous responsibility of leading a whole Kingdom.
That alone was an inspiration.
King Oyo showed us that being young is not an excuse for refusing responsibility. He carried a responsibility that many people much older than him would find difficult, and he grew into it with dignity.
As the years went by, he became a King who was loved by his people. He demonstrated passion for his Kingdom, for sports, for tourism, for culture, and, most importantly, for the people he was born to serve.
For those of us who grew up in the same generation, his life was a reminder that great things can come from young people. We looked at him and saw possibility. We saw someone who was our age carrying a crown, carrying a people, carrying a history, and carrying a future.
And there is something even more powerful about his story.
He was born royal. He was born into authority. He was born a King. Yet he acknowledged Jesus Christ as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
That is a powerful testimony to have earthly authority, yet recognize a higher authority above you.
Today, I cannot help but think about those days in Kisugu. We were just young boys from the ghetto, playing, dreaming and wondering if one day we would meet the young King whose home was just around the corner.
We never knew that those simple childhood memories would one day become memories of a King who would leave this world far too soon.
His passing at such a young age is deeply heartbreaking.
To the people of Tooro, the Royal Family, the Kingdom leadership, and everyone who loved His Majesty, we stand with you in prayer.
We pray that God will comfort you, strengthen you, and give you grace during this painful moment.
For our generation, King Oyo will always be remembered as the young King who taught us that age does not limit responsibility, and that leadership is not about how old you are, but about how faithfully you carry the responsibility entrusted to you.
You were born a King.
You grew into a leader.
You became an inspiration to your generation.
And above all, you acknowledged the King of Kings.
Rest in peace, Your Majesty.
Your crown may have been earthly, but your legacy will live on in the hearts of the people you inspired.

We are praying for you. This is extremely shocking and heartbreaking news. We are still hoping and praying that the reports are not true. May God give you and the entire kingdom strength and comfort during this difficult moment.
Smoke only rises where something is burning. If the devilโs house is on fire, perhaps heaven is making its move. Those who know why they started should not lose heart.
Not every battle is fought for personal gain. Some are fought to defend principles that outlive positions, personalities, and political seasons. Such sacrifices should never be forgotten.
@PAghalyentaka My stand against corruption is well known and unwavering. Recognizing those who uphold principles, integrity, and values is not personal it is a way of encouraging accountability and reinforcing the spirit of genuine public service
I am deeply saddened by the passing of Hellen Nakimuli. This is a painful loss not only to her family and the people of Kalangala, but to all of us who had the privilege of serving alongside her in Parliament.
Hellen was a God-fearing, humble, and devoted leader who truly loved her people. She served with quiet strength, grace, and sincerity, always putting the needs of her constituents first. As a colleague and friend, I came to know her as a warm, respectful, and deeply committed public servant.
We did not see this coming, and it makes the loss even more heartbreaking.
I extend my heartfelt condolences to her family, the people of Kalangala, and the entire Parliamentary fraternity. May the Lord grant comfort and strength during this difficult time, and may her gentle soul rest in eternal peace .
In the few times we met, Mrs. Edith Katende Mufumbiroโs humility and faith were clear. May God grant strength to her family in this painful moment.
May her soul rest in peace.
This morning, our constituency has been shaken by an unspeakable tragedy that has claimed the innocent lives of four young children at a daycare centre in Ggaba.
I extend my deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the grieving families. No parent should ever have to endure such pain. We stand with you in this moment of sorrow, and we mourn these young souls whose lives were taken far too soon.
I strongly condemn this horrific and senseless act of violence. Such cruelty against innocent children is not only inhuman but an attack on the very fabric of our community.
This tragedy must also serve as a wake-up call. I urge all institutions no matter how small to prioritize safety, vigilance, and proper safeguards. The protection of our children is a shared responsibility, and we must all act consciously and collectively for the greater good.
May the souls of the departed children rest in eternal peace, and may God grant strength and comfort to their families during this incredibly difficult time.
