On June 2, 2020 New York Institute of Technology announced that the Vocational Independence Program (VIP) and summer Introduction to Independence (I-I) program would be discontinued.
We are deeply saddened to share this news, but rather than dwell we will look toward the infinite possibilities that lay before us. To our students and colleagues both past and present, thank you for sharing your unique journeys and being part of VIP.
#Congratulations to all of the students of the Vocational Independence Program! You did it! Thank you for your hard work, flexibility, and grit. This year was a challenging one to say the least, yet you proved what you are capable of, and we are so proud of each of you.
We had another terrific turnout for our VIP #Virtual Alumni Social this past Friday! Over 50 alumni gathered with faculty members on Zoom to catch up and #stayconnected with one another. We can't wait for the next event and hope to see you there!

April 2 is World Autism Day. We would like to recognize the achievements and abilities of our VIP students and everyone world-wide with ASD. We hope that society will embrace neurodiversity and treat those with differences with kindness, compassion, and respect.
The annual Big Give Fundraiser has 13 hours left! We are overwhelmed with gratitude by the generosity of our donors. It is a challenging time for everyone, but if you are able to make a donation of any amount it will be greatly appreciated:
