Nobody makes this much drama when any other team loses in the Champions League.
But when Barça lose, all hell breaks loose.
This is the cost of having the best players in the world: the sky-high expectations they set themselves.
People forget that players like Lamine and Pedri still have up to 15 more tries to win this tournament. It’s only a matter of time and experience.
To put things into perspective, Leo Messi played in 19 Champions League campaigns and only managed to win it 4 times.
If an inexperienced squad can get this far and compete so well even with refereeing mistakes, just imagine what they’ll do when they gain more experience and more world-class signings are added to the mix.
If not winning the Champions League means the entire season is a failure, then Barça have only had 5 successful seasons in their 125-year history?
We have to continue believing in this project, with the wonderful young players that will keep bringing us the titles that we all desire.
In the 1:32 minute of added time out of the 4, the referee says that 1 more minute will be added for Newcastle's time-wasting. Blame Newcastle, not ref or Barca.
❗️The first one was called a foul to disallow a goal against Barça.
The second one was NOT called a foul to allow an illegal goal against Barça.
Just La Liga things.
