Do you know anyone seriously thinking about becoming Catholic but is unsure about Catholic teaching? Gift them these two books by Bp. Schneider and Mr. Schaetzel. 👇🏻
I speak with a shepherd’s voice, just “a shepherd” who doesn’t even have a flock to call his own but I speak to all the sheep willing to listen.
Believe in Jesus Christ, and be full of hope, study the Gospels that recount His teachings, His miracles, His incarnate journey among us, His sacrificial death and His resurrection.
Believe in Jesus Christ and if you belong to His Church, the Holy Roman Catholic Church stand strong in His Truth. Urge others to join us or to return if they have wandered.
Believe in Jesus Christ, repent of your sins and seek to live the virtues He calls us to live.
Believe in Jesus Christ and seek to know Him more deeply, encounter Him really present in the Eucharist, Confession and all the Sacraments.
Believe in Jesus Christ and shun false teachings from false shepherds who are wolves and hirelings thinly disguised by the robes of sacred office they wear.
Believe in Jesus Christ and pray for the Cardinals soon to gather in Conclave. Pray for them to be strong in the Sacred Heart of Christ and to shun any whispers of a false gospel. Pray for the wolves among them who refuse to bend their knee to Christ, pray that they repent but if they refuse to repent, pray that the faithful shepherds will cast them out and purify the College.
Believe in Jesus Christ and cling to His Church no matter what. Remain with Her and do all you can to purify Her that She may be strong as the gates of Hell rage.
Believe in Jesus Christ and live your Joy in Him no matter what storms may come. The Church is His.
Another illustration of the evil unleashed when individuals use the name Catholic but believe nothing that IS the Catholic faith. This must be opposed & denounced…BREAKING: Washington governor signs bill forcing priests to break Seal of Confession https://t.co/xSin0BzEMx
“La división en la Iglesia no es causada por los ‘tradicionalistas’, sino por aquellos que tergiversan la doctrina en busca de poder o comodidad ideológica.”
Cardenal Robert Sarah.
"The idea that all religions are equal is a diabolical lie. Only the Catholic Church possesses the fullness of the means of salvation."
— Cardinal Robert Sarah
“German” and “Catholic” no longer belong in the same sentence for this German sect. This must be opposed and denounced y the Cardinals gathered in Rome and every bishop around the world. https://t.co/IGphChUZ0j
Pray for Peace…this historic photo encourages us to never cease praying for peace. These two leaders look small in the vast space of St Peter’s Basilica. May it remind them to bring humble hearts to their conversation. 🙏🙏🙏
Prayer Imploring for Holy Popes
Written by Bishop Athanasius Schneider
(To be prayed by itself, or before beginning a rosary for the same intention…)
Kyrie Eleison! Christe Eleison! Kyrie Eleison! Lord Jesus Christ, You are the Good Shepherd! With Your almighty hand You guide Your pilgrim Church through the storms of each age.
Adorn the Holy See with holy popes who neither fear the powerful of this world nor compromise with the spirit of the age, but preserve, strengthen, and defend the Catholic Faith unto the shedding of their blood, and observe, protect, and hand on the venerable liturgy of the Roman Church.
O Lord, return to us through holy popes who, inflamed with the zeal of the Apostles, proclaim to the whole world: “Salvation is found in no other than in Jesus Christ. For there is no other name under heaven given to men by which they should be saved” (see Acts 4:10-12).
Through an era of holy popes, may the Holy See—which is home to all who promote the Catholic and Apostolic Faith— always shine as the cathedra of truth for the whole world.
Hear us, O Lord, and through the intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Mother of the Church, grant us holy Popes, grant us many holy Popes! Have mercy on us and hear us! Amen.
Veritatis Splendor No. 85
85. The discernment which the Church carries out with regard to these ethical theories is not simply limited to denouncing and refuting them. In a positive way, the Church seeks, with great love, to help all the faithful to form a moral conscience which will make judgments and lead to decisions in accordance with the truth, following the exhortation of the Apostle Paul: "Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may prove what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect" (Rom 12:2). This effort by the Church finds its support — the "secret" of its educative power — not so much in doctrinal statements and pastoral appeals to vigilance, as in constantly looking to the Lord Jesus. Each day the Church looks to Christ with unfailing love, fully aware that the true and final answer to the problem of morality lies in him alone. In a particular way, it is in the Crucified Christ that the Church finds the answer to the question troubling so many people today: how can obedience to universal and unchanging moral norms respect the uniqueness and individuality of the person, and not represent a threat to his freedom and dignity? The Church makes her own the Apostle Paul's awareness of the mission he had received: "Christ... sent me... to preach the Gospel, and not with eloquent wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.... We preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God" (1 Cor 1:17, 23-24). The Crucified Christ reveals the authentic meaning of freedom; he lives it fully in the total gift of himself and calls his disciples to share in his freedom.
