🇺🇸🎆One month from today, America will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. As we count down to this historic milestone, NYCOM is showcasing the stories and legacies of the communities that have helped shape New York State's rich history.

In the Village of Minoa, that legacy dates back to 1913, when 42 property-owning women voted to incorporate the Village, seven years before women gained the right to vote. This is a remarkable piece of history that Mayor Brazill wants people to remember and celebrate. #America250 #NYCOM #CitiesandVillages

High auto insurance costs hurt every New Yorker. The Governor's proposals will reduce fraud, curb excessive litigation and ease the burden on local governments and taxpayers statewide. We urge the Legislature to include these reforms in the final adopted budget. @GovKathyHochul

Last night, we testified at the Joint Legislative Budget Hearing on Local Governments to emphasize the importance of strengthening state investment in our cities and villages through programs like AIM, CHIPS and SWAP.  Stable, predictable funding through these programs ensures mayors have the resources they need to deliver essential services, invest in critical infrastructure and protect quality of life for their residents.
