@jfromflorida1 Jajajaja what a funny guy Draymond is. I love it when people talk and forget that the internet exists...... what happened when they lost and gave up the 3-1 lead????? Oh wait here's the video https://t.co/aUvZxSwk8o
@PSchrags@WindhorstESPN@OmahaProd He could be a little immature but he also was targeted more this year and because of that every teams' plan to stop him was to do just that. He got fed up. If you actually watch the spurs games you could see that.
@RSchottenfeld@FirstTake@KendrickPerkins@wemby There were champions who did the same thing and not shake hands with people that beat them. It happened all the time in the 2000s and better yet go look when the Cabs come from down 3-1 to win the championship and tell me who shook hands lol.
"The biggest problem I've had with the NBA and the players is that they're too damn friendly."
โ@KendrickPerkins on Wemby's no new friends mentality ๐
Wemby's honeymoon period is officially OVER ๐
Matt explains why the media's tone on Victor Wembanyama has changed... and why he ain't backing down ๐ค
Any Spurs fan that watched every game and knows ball can back this up:
The playoffs changed Wemby.
During the regular season, you never heard a peep about "dirty player" or flagrants because all of the arm hooking, jersey yanking, and thigh grabbing was a foul in the regular season. If players get called for a foul, theyre less encouraged to play that way. When the refs don't discourage rough play, a player will try to discourage it.
I think the refs and the league backed themselves into a corner by allowing too much roughness. If you suspend wemby then you get lots of calls and complaints from the spurs front office saying "here are all of the uncalled fouls that led up to the flagrant."
Was it a flagrant when Wemby pushed Brunson by the neck?
ABSOLUTELY lol
Would he have pushed him if Brunson wasn't pulling his jersey?
No.
But the most important question is, would Brunson have been pulling his jersey at all if the refs were consistently and correctly calling it a foul?
Probably not.
I was gonna post this on my substack but I don't have a substack.
Thank you for reading.
Congratulations, Knicks.
Go Spurs Go.
