For your safety and mine, little turtle… stick to the shoulder.
Remember: As temperatures rise, wildlife activity increases along our roads, so stay alert and watch for animals on or near the road.
Turtle Turtle 🐢
This shelled friend just laid some eggs near Bellmore Creek along the Wantagh State Parkway when our workers saw her moving along.
Always watch for wildlife, both big & small, on the road.

These trucks are built to absorb crashes, but they shouldn’t need to. They’re the last line of defense between traffic and the people keeping our roads safe. Yesterday, that protection was needed.
Slow down. Move over. Stay alert.
This could happen to you if you aren't paying attention. After passing 1 attenuator truck, a car hit the 2nd one. The trucks were securing a street sweeper on the Long Island Expressway at Exit 62 on Tuesday. Our worker was sent to the hospital.
