Who’s getting those brooms out? Vital series win for a team that needs to get back on track this season. Hopefully this is a turning point for the Yankees season.
If this is the start of something special for Paxton in pinstripes, we’ll always remember the night he defied all odds by dominating a loaded Dodgers line-up.
This team has responded impressively after being dominated in Oakland. Just goes to show how much a team feeds off of a starting pitcher when’s he’s on his game.
Also, glad to have the voice of the Yankees @RealMichaelKay back in the book today! He’s such a valuable part of the Yes Network team and frankly it just didn’t feel right without him calling the games.
What’s the point of batting Brett lead off today? Brett has been solid this year but to bat him in front of arguably two of the AL’s best hitters in Gio and DJ just doesn’t make sense to me. I love Booney, but I feel like he’s a bit too radical at times
Yankees still being linked to Bauer. Don’t like the antics, but he’s definitely a gamechanging type of pitcher. Will be interesting to see if Cash goes hard after him. My guess would be a package centered around Clint, who would add some stability to Cleveland’s outfield.
Two encouraging signs today: Happ’s outing and Judge’s four hit day. Good to JA look more like the pitcher he’s been over the course of his career and for Judge to continue where he left off before the break. If Judge can play at the MVP level he’s capable of, watch out. 👀
Home plate ump made a few debatable calls today, but it looks like he got that final call right. Frustrating ending to an overall disappointing game. Not too many times how we’ve seen the Yankees offense look as lethargic as it did today. Hopefully it’s just a bump in the road.
