My supervisee defended her undergraduate project yesterday 01/12/2025.
Congratulations to you Goodness. You made me proud😊.

The best thing to do when your friends are going out and you have no cash is to stay home. Some people can be cruel when they know you are depending on them. I understand there are kind people but don’t intentionally put yourself in a situation where people will have power over you.
Master Chisom Unachukwu from Evergreen Schools, Enugu, will be going to Rome, Italy, next week to watch his student Victor Onwubiko compete with students from 154 other countries at the International STEM Olympiad.
The days of teachers earning their rewards only in heaven are over.
They will be rewarded here on earth. They will drive choice cars, live in mansions, travel for vacations with family, educate their children in Ivy League schools, and support their families better.
Ideally, teaching should be one of the best-paying professions in the country.
We will do our best to change the narrative as far as we can go.
Nigeria has now been delisted from the International Maths Olympiad, whose finals are happening in Shanghai, China, this July.
It is one of the most prestigious academic competitions in the world.
Nigeria can now only participate as an observer nation, while other countries can participate fully.
This was because of the Ministry of Educations inability to fund students for 4 consecutive years through National Mathematical Center.
It’s a big shame for Nigeria.
Next week, I will be taking 3 students and 2 teachers to Rome, Italy, all expenses paid by me.
All visas have been issued and all arrangements have been sorted.
The students will represent Nigeria in the Maths and Science categories of the International STEM Olympiad.
They will compete alongside 154 other countries.
The students who won the 2026 South East Maths Olympiad and the teachers who supported them are going. Both the teachers and the students will experience growth together.
I will continue to push our bright minds to global stages.
In 10 years, I pray you will be alive to see the outcome of our investments in our children today.
Abroad life is sweet, especially when you have an amazing, well-paying career. I’ve been enjoying this lifestyle for 18 years now, and I genuinely wish everyone had access to the luxury of better living.
Do everything within the law to taste this life for yourself.
Japa is a must ✈️
After giving birth, a woman's internal wounds take six months to heal, 12 months for physical recovery, two years for hormonal balance, and up to five years to rediscover her identity. Relationships frequently fail during this time due to a lack of understanding. Be kind and patient with new mothers; they are facing more challenges than it appears.
My sister slept with my husband while I was in the hospital grieving the loss of a pregnancy. I found out she was pregnant for him, and that was the final straw. I cut both of them off immediately, along with my parents who kept defending them.
They eventually got married and had two children, while I moved on, rebuilt my life, found love again, and now have three children of my own.
Now, years later, my sister is reaching out. She recently lost a baby, and her husband, who is also my ex, was caught cheating on her. She’s apologizing and wants us to reconnect, but I have no interest in letting them back into my life.
My family says I’m heartless and need therapy because I refuse to forgive and forget. The truth is, I have forgiven them. I just don’t want people who hurt me that deeply to have access to me again.
Am I wrong for protecting my peace?
There is an urgent medical information I want to pass across. This will save your life, pls come close.
If you ever see rotten tomatoes that looks like these pictures I posted, or if you ever see onions with black spots on them or you see corn with mould on it,
PLEASE RUN FOR YOUR LIFE.
Why do I say this?
All these food items are contaminated with a poisonous fungus called AFLATOXINS.
Aflatoxins are notorious for increasing the risk of liver cancer. When you eat food that has this type of tomatoes, or you eat food cooked with this kind of onions or you eat this type of corn you are at risk of developing liver cancer.
Only eat fresh tomatoes, fresh onions and fresh corn. Avoid rotten tomatoes, blackened onions or corn with mould (even if they are cheaper to buy).
This is not a threat or a joke.
This is a real life serious medical issue.
Kindly share this information.
There’s a phase you get to in life life,
all those hymns you sang in your childhood as mere songs , starts making total sense
Because what a friend we really have in Jesus ?
I’m not a prophet of doom, but anytime any of my mentee is leaving Nigeria for the first time overseas, I always advise that they do not keep all their eggs in one basket- No such thing as 23kg- Food, other 23kg- Clothes. It’ll be depressing if any of the bags got missing & you can’t retrieve it for weeks, what’ll you be eating/wearing?.
I always prefer it’s split, food & clothes in both.
One day, I was proved right, one of the bags got missing, never retrieved till date, only compensation given, however, the other bag contain a mixture of clothes/foods.
Sad situation but it’s what it’s. How on earth is a JJC expected to navigate the first few weeks in a new country with no clothes.
NB- Till date, I adopt same method too.
Why Publication is Important for PhD Students and How It Shapes Your Academic Journey.
For every PhD student, publishing research is more than a graduation requirement. It’s the backbone of academic growth and visibility.
Publication is one of the ways to demonstrate that you can produce original and high-quality work that advances knowledge in your field.
Beyond fulfilling institutional requirements, publishing helps build your scholarly identity, strengthens your research skills, and connects you to the broader academic community.
In today’s competitive academic world, the quality of your publications can determine and boost future opportunities, from winning research grants to securing postdoctoral or faculty positions.
Journals, conferences, and peer reviews are the platforms where your work gains credibility and impact.
Why publishing matters?
1. Builds credibility: Establishes you as a thought leader in your research area.
2. Improves your writing and critical thinking: Each publication cycle refines your analytical and communication skills.
3. Expands your academic network: Publishing opens doors to collaborations, conferences, and mentorship opportunities.
4. Enhances career prospects: Strong publication records are key for academic promotions and research funding.
5. Validates your research: Peer review provides valuable feedback that strengthens your methodology and conclusions.
Tips for PhD students:
🔍 Start small, publish parts of your literature review or pilot study early.
🧾 Choose reputable journals within your field; avoid predatory ones.
✍️ Co-author with your supervisor(s)/PIs or peers to learn academic writing conventions.
⏰ Set quarterly writing goals and track submission deadlines.
💬 Accept reviewer feedback professionally; it’s part of your growth.
Always remember, every paper you publish is a milestone in your research journey. Start early, stay consistent, and let your work speak for you long after you graduate.
So, how has your experience been in publishing your work as a student? Tough or smooth?
Abeg, don’t let glaucoma steal your eyesight. Don’t ignore the signs.
These are early signs you must NEVER ignore unless you want to lose your sight permanently.
If you stand near faeces for a while, you stop smelling it. Not because it has stopped smelling but because you're now used to it.
Same way, if you tolerate rubbish for a while, it stops looking like rubbish to you.
Yes, staring at your screen all day is exactly why you have that pounding headache and blurry vision. Let me explain how to fix it in 20 seconds.
Imagine holding a heavy bucket of water with a straight arm for 8 hours without dropping it.
That is exactly what you are forcing the tiny muscles inside your eyes to do every single day.
When you look at your phone or laptop up close, these tiny eye muscles have to aggressively squeeze together to focus.
Doing this from morning till night makes them work too much.
The muscles get extremely tired, causing dry eyes and those headaches that feel like village people are pressing your forehead.
But there is a simple hack to save your vision.
It is called the 20-20-20 rule. And it works like this:
Every 20 minutes, look away from your screen. Find something that is far away from you (like 20 feet away), and look at it for 20 seconds. That's it.
Looking far away allows those tiny eye muscles to completely relax. Practice the 20-20-20 rule today, and thank me later.
Deal?
I think it is good to clarify this Paracetamol story so people understand what happened.
The woman previously attempted suicide in June 2025 following s Relationship failure but was later rescued and had mental support.
She had visited a Dentist before who had given Antibiotics for Toothache.
But later she had been self medicating with PARACETAMOL
On this particular day, she was vomiting and breathless and taken yo a hospital.
By the time she got to a hospital, her blood was checked and it was discovered that She had Super High levels of Paracetamol.
She had been overdosing on Paracetamol up to a point that she had Liver failure.
In the hospital it was also noted that she already had Kidney failure and had Dialysis, she was scheduled for Liber transplant
But sadly she died.
After autopsy was done, it was seen that she had Liver damage due to Paracetamol Toxicity and on the long run many organs had failed.
Yes, Paracetamol abuse can damage the kidneys and liver.
