This will go down as the worst trade in sports history.

The Dallas Mavericks gave up on Luka Doncic. The player who took them to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2011 last season, made five All-NBA First Teams in a row, and looked to be a lock to go down as an all-time great.

Rather than pushing for the Finals again this season and continuing to build around him for the next 10 years or more, they traded him before he hit his prime.

Mavericks fans are never going to get over this.
