OACTEP students prepare for Career & Technical Education Month by participating in a bulletin board competition to promote their programs. OACTEP students have all kinds of fun activities planned for the Junior-Senior High School!

Preparations are underway for the OHSPSA fire cadets. Cadets will be taking the Structural Burn for the PSFA Interior Firefighter Certification. This is an important certification for students to become firefighters. Good luck to all our cadets!
Saturday evening… James Bossong: a senior from west Bradford/downingtown had a clinical save while working as a career EMT. He received his EMT through OHSPSA Yes he is a career paid EMT while in high school… and he works 3 jobs in EMS!
Zach Felker, a 2021 graduate of OHSPSA, graduated from the Wilmington Fire Academy. He is now serving the citizens of the City of Chester as a career Firefighter/EMT. Zach is also serving the citizens of West Grove and surrounding areas as a volunteer Firefighter/EMT
3 OACTEP Design & Illustration students participated in a great real world opportunity - a chance to design the cover of the PABA’s yearly publication. All 3 worked hard, only one could be chosen. Congratulations go to Maverick Troop for creating the winning design.

Another successful FFA Midwinter Convention! Two Octorara students (Mason Woodall, Case Lusby) were chosen to receive their jackets and three students (Tiffany Ross, Dana Smoker, Rachel Swann) received their keystone state degrees.
Nathan Frohm, a senior graphic designer at Iron Mountains, visited OACTEP Design & Illustration class about what it's like to be a graphic designer and how he got there. After his presentation, he made sure to review each student's portfolio.
Octorara CTE Mechanical Systems Technilogy Program made a Log Splitter based on hydrolic, welding, engineering, and fabrication lessons. They will be entering and presenting the Log Splitter in the PA Farm Show in January.
