Every time we walk around the Beaver enclosure, Skye stops and waits to be let into this gate. No idea why...she has a choice of three gates but it is always this one !
Hedgehog is out early today. It walked all the way around to the other side of our house and then went under our decking. It will now wait there until later on, and we will then hear the cat bowls being knocked over. We always make sure there is something in the bowls.
July's 'Goats for beginners' course is now sold out, but another date has been added in October. Got to be quick though, places go fast. @katehumble@farmerhumble

Another 'Goats for beginners' course successfully completed this weekend at Humble by Nature. @farmerhumble@katehumble . If you want to take your first steps into owning goats, book a place on the next course, but you need to be quick, they are very popular.
I will be running my third goat course this year, in October. It is sold out again. Really enjoying teaching these courses.

Third night in a row the boar have got into the paddock. Very persistent, we keep fixing the fence but they keep finding another entry point, and they must be telling all their mates to join in as it's getting worse each time.
Taken today on my dog walk around the Beaver enclosure close to our home. They are definitely doing their job of daming the river to slow the flow through the village.
Final update on the Harris Hawk we found in our garden last weekend. The owner has been located & the bird is back home. The owner lives in Goodrich which is about 5 miles from us. The bird is 20 years old & the owner raised it from a chick. It had been missing for about 1 month.
Update on the Harris Hawk, which we first spotted in our garden on Saturday at 16:30. It was still there 18 hours later. We got hold of a local falconer (Via a national bird register). He has now collected it & will attempt to locate the owner with the number on its ring.
Can't believe it, I have just been out to move the boarding rabbits from their runs, to inside for the night, and there was a Harris Hawk hiding in the corner of the garden with one of my chickens in its claws!
Meet Maggie May, the latest addition to my smallholding. She is a pure Blue Point Ragdoll. My aim over the next 12-18 months is to become a fully registered Ragdoll breeder. #RagdollCats

Tomorrow I will be sorting out the details of a new venture to add to my business. It is still to do with smallholding, but I won't be doing it at Oakdean. It's a little different and something I have not done before. Intrigued? Check tomorrow when I will post an update
