The children have made a fabulous effort today for World Book Day. We have seen an amazing range of costumes and some truly fabulous egg and potato creations of their favourite book characters. Check out our 'Eggshibition'.
Year 6 enjoyed cooking Tudor Pottage on the fire pit whilst singing camp songs. First they had to prepare, peel and cut turnips, parsnips, carrots, onions and spring greens. They have eaten their way through all three large stew pots!

The community of Oakfield Primary School would like to express their deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to The Royal Family on the sad passing of Her Majesty The Queen.
It was a wonderful day of celebration for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. It was truly a 'memorable moment' for us all, especially the children. We certainly partied Oakfield style with our own pageant, games through the decades and dancing along to the music.
The children have been enjoying outdoor learning activities for our 'Welly Week'. The weather has been kind to us so far, allowing the children to cook on the fire pit. A huge thank you to our parents for their contributions. Your generosity is amazing!
We hope all our pupils are having fun creating different things. Don't forget to send us photos if you can, we'd love to see what you are all getting up to.

It's panto day and the whole school are off to the Cliffs this afternoon for the annual trip to the pantomime. The children are so excited and looking forward to lots of cheering, singing and dancing. Have fun everyone!
Today the children have been taking part in a variety of activities as part of the PE Baseline to assess their progression in basic skills such as throwing, jumping, running and catching.
