To connect with nature this week yesterday Year 5 went on a nature walk around our local community🌲🌻 the children described their feelings after the walk as feeling ‘peaceful’, ‘calm’ and ‘at one with nature’🍂🐞
Today we have had the most wonderful day visiting the beach in Fredericia! The children have enjoyed dipping their toes in the sea, skimming stones and searching for creatures in rock pools!
Today we have learnt about what Ascension Day is and how it is celebrated in Denmark, we have continued with our art, litter picked around our school community and eaten s’mores in forest school! What a day!
Yesterday our school based children connected with nature on a long walk through The Twiggeries and Paddington Meadows. When we got back, we created artwork based on what we saw.
The children based in school today have had a jam-packed day! We have cleared and planted in forest school, made some danish biscuits, took part in a “keep fit and mindfulness” session all before rounding our day off by sharing traditional tales with Year 1!
We were lucky enough to meet Tor, a student from school who is an expert in all things Viking! Tor showed us some of his amazing equipment, which he uses during Viking battle re-enactments! @TuringScheme_UK
Today the children have been in mixed Denmark/ English groups, working collaboratively to learn more about each other’s language! We our so proud of everyone for stepping out of their comfort zones 👏
Today we are visiting Faelleshabsskolen School in our Oakwood School uniforms! This is very exciting as in Denmark, the children do not wear their uniforms. 🇩🇰💚
