More information about athletic training and the 5 domains can be found on the National Athletic Trainer’s Association website and on the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer website!
Athletic Trainers (ATs) are highly qualified, multi-skilled health care professionals who render service or treatment, under the direction of or in collaboration with a physician, in accordance with their education, training and the state's statutes, rules and regulations.”
Athletic Trainers operate under 5 domains. The first domain is: Risk Reduction, Wellness and Health Literacy. This is described as “Promoting healthy lifestyle behaviors with effective education and communication to enhance wellness and minimize the risk of injury and illness”.
Happy National Athletic Training Month! The theme this year is “There’s an AT For That”. This month we will be highlighting the different aspects of AT. Follow along all month to see what an AT does, inside the day of some of our students, BOC prep questions, and more! #natm2023
