@zoerosebryant It’s insane! Supposedly Spielberg wanted to direct a Bond movie back in the late 70s/early 80s but the producers rejected him. He ended up making Indiana Jones instead… so maybe this will work out similarly.
@huskerlavaman@DanWilbur If it was the teacher in the room that the shooter chose, the teacher would’ve had to have shot first. It’s not impossible, but I think the odds are not nearly as high as you think.
@huskerlavaman@DanWilbur Honestly, it probably wouldn’t have made much of a difference. In your scenario of armed teachers, the teacher would’ve had to have encountered him before he entered the room or would’ve had to have left their students alone to track him down.
@huskerlavaman@DanWilbur So anyone can bring a gun to a school then in your opinion? No training, no registration? The lunch lady can just decide to be armed or not?
@huskerlavaman@DanWilbur What’s the most people you’ve seen in a gun store? 15? Mass shooters tend to target high density areas. The people being armed might act as a deterrent but so does the low density so it’s an unfair comparison. When was the last time you saw a mass shooting at a construction site?
@huskerlavaman@DanWilbur Are you suggesting that schools just become open carry? Or do you have a plan on how you would train and regulate the people that would carry? Will this be guards or faculty/staff? If guards/police, where will the funding come from to “fill” all the thousands of schools?
@huskerlavaman@DanWilbur Also, from my understanding, DC has some of the strictest gun laws. “Illegally possessed weapons”, could possibly mean that they are not registered in the person’s name since DC requires registration (unlike many states).
@zoerosebryant Fantastic show! Just be ready for a total/pacing shift coming from breaking bad. It will eventually get back to him more similar tone and pace though.
