New to all this, but stay around for the same entertaining opinions like the one you just saw.
I comment on so many areas from sports to global anthropology. I’m sure you’ll find unique takes on a new topic!
@jcmustian@hradzka Depends if you want them ti be above average or the best at what they do. Later progress in life is all about doing the things you love at high intensity for decades. That requires more that good habits and discipline. It requires genuine belief that they picked that path.
@weswinham@hradzka I’m not sure how weightlifting is relevant to a home schooled 5 year old. But your other point on memory is not the only method, there are many ways to gain information.
@SOPROSOCIAL A home and property in general being considered as assets is what started this.
The constant hoarding of housing and high evaluations has meant that first time buyers are priced out. Housing should not be an asset class unless it’s for commercial use.
That’s mostly true, I also think some historians and enthusiasts are also somewhat pro AI. On a grand scheme of new technology, we have always benefited. What’s important is to have open debates so we can figure out what that may look like.
I have become increasingly convinced that the only people who are pro-AI are (1) people who are making money off it or (2) people who are funded by it (or people who hope to be in one of those two categories).
@RadishHarmers Reading is at a higher end of consumption and tweeting is at the lower end of creativity. But, in the long run being a creator at any level is more rare than a consumer at any level.

In practically any other place it’s considered rude and feeling the rhythm of a conversation is a skill.
@johnnydamacha@dieworkwear Bitcoin as a digital currency stated 18 years ago. Blockchain technology, smart contracts and liquidity providers are still not wide spread. So yes it is in fact still in the early stages.
@RopesToInfinity If anything, AI will be able to automate much of the administrative work for artists instead. This can only happen if people actively choose to support artists and not engage with AI art.
@melatoninGf The same trauma that gives you problems will also be the very thing that allows you to be creative and see the world differently. In the age of AI that is possibly the most valuable skill. To be different with reasoning.
@schiz04renic Or you were just different to them and there’s no ill intentions. To constantly assume everyone is against is a sure way to actually make it happen.
@_isavaliero A part of growing up is moving from prioritising other people’s vision of you to your own. You get to decide how much you value yourself and celebrate another year on the planet. Whilst it’s an odd transition for anyone, it’s also the most important for growth.
