People in the comments saying this isn't overt racism or the fault of doctors during childbirth. Yeah, it's structural racism ya'll. That's her point. Food deserts, higher rates of obesity, less access to quality health care all leading up to more complications during childbirth.

If you didn’t know, here is an appalling statistic: Black women are 3x more likely to die at childbirth. This is structural racism at work but in an instance where there are no cell phones to capture the brutality. We need to STOP the killing. #BlackLivesMatter
