Robert Downey Jr. on the difference between Tony Stark and Doctor Doom in the MCU:
“There’s the science thing, and they’re considered pretty brilliant guys. But Tony had the trauma that turned him into a hero and Doom’s got the exact opposite.”

Description of the ‘AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY’ footage shown at SDCC:
Sue Storm describes Victor von Doom. She knew he was a lot, but she didn't know how broken he really was.
Doom says all these people have lived stolen lives, and now they must give them back.
Reed grabs Victor's shirt and yells, "Answer me, Victor! Did you do this?!"
Thor swings his axe at Doom's head, but Doom flicks it aside with ease.
Then he sends Thor flying with a burst of green sorcery.
Doom raises the sentinels and turns to face the camera, radiating power.
“Victor was always the smartest guy in every room. He used to be different. He used to be kind, used to be caring.
But then everything he loved was taken from him. I knew he was lost, but I did not realize that he was broken.”
