Holy rant: Subnetting.

I am watching 12 hours of The Cyber Mentor.

I have a whole cheat sheet with /1 to /32.
I know you subtract 2. I know Network ID is first, Broadcast is last.

Do I understand subnetting? No.

At this point just tell me how many IPs you need and I'll call someone who knows.

A good defender should know how to attack so you know where an attack is coming from because you can better anticipate the threat. If you don't understand the mindset of the attacker, you're just putting up walls that can be easily navigated.

• Black box

This year I am seeing
• Unknown environment test
• Known environment test
• Partially Known environment test

I already have 5 filled notes plus.
My notion is in disarray 😅
