If you are waiting for a CT scan at the Ottawa Hospital - read this:

Just got off the phone with a patient who called to see where he was on the wait list for his CT scan that was ordered in March of 2022. (It has been 2 years already).

He was told by the booking clerk that it would be at least another year as they were only dealing with urgent and semi urgent requests.

He was also told that if the surgeon decided to upgrade the status to urgent or semi-urgent - it WOULD BE IGNORED.

WOW!!!!

Thoughts? Should we have to wait over 2 years? Should a booking clerk be able to override a surgeon's urgent request?
