When a Proverbs 31 Woman Meets a Job 29 Man, They Will Build a Psalm 112 Home
One of the greatest blessings in life is not just marriage, but a marriage built according to the pattern of God’s Word. Many people desire love, companionship, and family, but very few understand the kind of people that create a godly home.
Apostle Joshua Selman once said:
“When a Proverbs 31 woman meets a Job 29 man, they will make a Psalm 112 home.”
This statement is powerful because it shows that a great home is not built by chance — it is built by character.
A Proverbs 31 woman is not just a beautiful woman or a woman who can cook and take care of the house. The Bible describes her as a woman of virtue, wisdom, diligence, and the fear of the Lord. She is hardworking, dependable, disciplined, and spiritually grounded. The scripture says “her price is far above rubies.” She builds, she supports, she nurtures, and she strengthens the atmosphere of her home. Her strength is not only physical but spiritual. She fears God and that fear of God governs her decisions.
On the other hand, a Job 29 man represents a man of honor, influence, and integrity. In Job 29, Job describes the season when he was respected in the city gates. The elders listened when he spoke. The young men stepped aside in honor. The poor were helped through him, the fatherless found justice through him, and the widow’s heart rejoiced because of his kindness. A Job 29 man is a man who carries responsibility, compassion, leadership, and righteous influence. He is not defined by money alone but by character and his ability to stand for righteousness in his generation.
When these two kinds of people come together, the result is powerful.
They build a Psalm 112 home.
Psalm 112 describes the house of a righteous man. The Bible says “Blessed is the man who fears the Lord.” It goes on to say that his children will be mighty in the land, wealth and riches will be in his house, and his righteousness will endure forever. His family becomes a blessing to generations.
A Psalm 112 home is a home where:
God is honored.
Generational blessings are released.
Children grow in strength and purpose.
Light shines even in times of darkness.
The family becomes a pillar of righteousness in society.
Unfortunately, our generation often focuses on chemistry instead of character. People look for attraction, lifestyle, beauty, or financial status, but the kingdom of God looks at spiritual substance.
A Proverbs 31 woman is not built overnight.
A Job 29 man is not produced by convenience.
These are people who have walked with God, developed discipline, and allowed the Word of God to shape their lives.
Marriage in the kingdom is not just about two people loving each other; it is about two destinies aligning with God’s purpose.
When a godly man and a godly woman come together, their union becomes more than romance. It becomes a platform for God’s glory, influence, and generational impact.
That is why before praying for a spouse, every believer must ask themselves an honest question:
Am I becoming a Proverbs 31 woman?
Am I becoming a Job 29 man?
Because when these two meet, they will not struggle to create a blessed home.
They will naturally produce a Psalm 112 family.
And that kind of home does not only bless the couple — it blesses generations.
