It has been 33 days since I started trying to get in contact with someone, and I am still respectfully asking YouTube for a fair manual review of ScalingStories.

I understand YouTube has policies against automated, mass-produced, repetitive, or minimally transformed content, and I respect why those policies exist. I am not asking for special treatment or for any rules to be ignored.

I am only asking for the chance to have my channel reviewed by a real person with the full context of how my videos are made.

My videos are built around my own voice, commentary, reactions, editing, gameplay, avatars, and community. I do my best to make each video thoughtful, entertaining, and useful for my audience.

I do not simply read stories and repost them. I add my thoughts throughout the video, explain my perspective, react to the choices being made, and try to add meaningful value for viewers.

My viewers often respond directly to my commentary in the comments, which means a lot to me because it shows they are engaging with my personal contribution, not just the original story.

I believe my current channel may have been incorrectly categorized, because the work behind my videos does not match the examples YouTube gives for inauthentic content.

It has been almost a month of trying to get a real person from YouTube to manually review my channel, ScalingStories, after being demonetized for “inauthentic content.”

I am still respectfully asking for someone to watch my appeal/behind-the-scenes video and review my channel with the full context of how my content is actually made.

I understand why YouTube has policies against low-effort, repetitive, mass-produced, automated, or minimally transformed content. I respect those rules completely. I know YouTube has to protect the platform from content that is made at scale without real originality or value.

But I genuinely do not believe that describes my channel.

Every video is voiced by me, manually edited by me in DaVinci Resolve, and uses gameplay/background footage that I record myself. I also use custom avatars to represent myself while speaking to viewers, adding more personality, emotion, and identity to the content.

I am not just reading stories and uploading them. I add my thoughts throughout the video, explain my perspective, react to the choices being made, and try to make the content entertaining, thoughtful, and useful for my audience.

My viewers directly respond to my commentary in the comments. They agree, disagree, joke with me, and engage with my personal contribution, not just the original story. That community interaction is a huge part of why I keep creating.

Even after being demonetized, I have continued making videos because I care about the viewers who show up for my content every day. I do not want to let them down, and I am trying my best to keep going while also trying to understand what YouTube believes is wrong.

That is the hardest part. I keep receiving broad policy explanations, but I still do not have a specific explanation of what on my current channel makes it “inauthentic.” Without a real person reviewing the context, I do not know how to understand the decision.

I am not asking for special treatment or asking YouTube to ignore its policies. I am only asking for a fair manual review from someone who can look at my actual content, watch my appeal video, and determine whether ScalingStories truly fits the “inauthentic content” policy.

I even asked YouTube’s own Studio AI what “inauthentic content” means, if I am doing it, and how to avoid it, and the most confusing part is that the guidance it gave me describes the things I am already doing on my channel.

For “Originality and Transformation,” it said that content that is mass-produced or uses templates with little variation can be flagged, and that storytelling channels should add significant value through unique commentary, distinct narrative structures, or creative visual elements that go beyond simply reading or displaying existing text.

That is exactly why I do not understand this decision. My videos are not simple readings of existing text. Throughout the stories, I pause to add my own reactions, opinions, context, and commentary. I talk through the decisions being made, the emotional dynamics involved, and what viewers can take away from the situation. The value is not limited to a short summary at the end because my perspective is woven throughout the entire video.

My audience engages with that perspective directly. In the comments, viewers respond to the points I make, challenge my takes, agree with certain opinions, joke about my reactions, and continue the discussion around the commentary I added. That engagement shows they are not only consuming the story itself. They are responding to my voice, my judgment, and my personal contribution to the content.

I also use my own voice in every video, record my own gameplay/background footage, manually edit the videos myself, and use several custom avatars to represent myself while I am speaking to my viewers. Those avatars help add personality, emotion, and creative visual expression to the videos. This is a manual, personal, transformative process, not automated or mass-produced content.

For “Repetitious Content,” Studio AI said this refers to channels where the content is so similar that it is difficult to distinguish one video from another. It also said having a consistent theme or brand is fine, but the core substance of each video, including the story, analysis, and presentation, must be distinct.

Again, that does not describe my channel. Yes, my channel has a consistent theme: storytelling, commentary, and gameplay progression. But the core substance of each video is different. Each video is unique and different from the others because I am reading multiple different stories, and the topics of those stories vary widely from upload to upload.

The subject matter changes heavily from video to video. Some videos focus on broken friendships or family conflict, while others deal with serious relationship situations, housing disputes, workplace problems, or completely different personal dilemmas. The format may be recognizable, but the actual stories, themes, discussions, commentary, and takeaways are not interchangeable.

For “Spam and Deceptive Practices,” I am not doing what is described. I am not misleading viewers, manipulating engagement, mass-uploading low-effort content, or using deceptive practices.

For “AI and Synthetic Content,” I am also not doing what is described. My videos are voiced by me, edited by me, and built around my own commentary, reactions, gameplay, custom avatars, and personal expression. This is not AI-generated, synthetic, or automated content pretending to be something else.

So I am asking again for a fair manual review from a real person. YouTube’s own Studio AI gave me guidance for avoiding inauthentic content, and my channel already follows that guidance. If my content is still being labeled “inauthentic,” I desperately need a real human reviewer to explain what specifically violates the policy, because the examples and guidance I have been given do not match my content.

But when a creator demonstrates and provides proof that their content is not automated, not AI-generated, not mass-produced, and not simply repeated from video to video, that label should be removed.

Your own guidelines say that monetized content should be original and authentic, and that if a creator borrows content from someone else, they need to change it significantly to make it their own.

That is exactly what I do.

I use my own voice in every video. I manually edit my videos. I record my own gameplay/background footage. I use several custom avatars to represent myself while I am speaking to my viewers and to add more personality and expression to my videos. This is a very manual, personal process, not an automated one.

My appeal video demonstrates this and shows the effort, commentary, editing, and personality that goes into my content.

My content does share a main theme: storytelling, commentary, and the progression of the game I am playing. But that does not mean my videos are only slightly different from each other or produced using a template and repeated at scale.

Every video is vastly different depending on the stories being read and discussed. One day I may be talking about friendship breakups, another day about a domestic violence situation, another day about a housing conflict, family issues, relationship problems, workplace drama, or something completely different. The topics vary day to day, and viewers can clearly tell that each video is significantly different when watching.

YouTube’s guidelines also say that content that exclusively features readings of other materials a creator did not originally create, like text from websites or news feeds, is not allowed to monetize.

But my videos do not exclusively feature readings. I provide significant personal entertainment and educational commentary throughout the stories I read. I am not just reading something and adding a quick recap at the end. I give my input, thoughts, reactions, and perspective multiple times throughout each video.

Viewers directly respond to that commentary in the comments. They react to my opinions, agree with me, disagree with me, joke with me, and engage with the personal perspective I add. That shows my commentary is a meaningful part of the content, not an afterthought.

These videos are made for the enjoyment and education of my viewers, not solely pumped out for clicks and views. I am a real creator putting real work, effort, personality, and commentary into my content.

I keep being directed back to the same guidelines, but I am not being given specific feedback about my content, my format, or my current channel. This is just an absolutely terrible feeling to have as a content creator on YouTube who has dedicated years of his life to doing his absolute best to succeed on this platform. My mental health has been getting worse and worse, but I still try my absolute best to keep going.

I remember making content and uploading to straight-up 0 viewers for months before I got a single view on any of my YouTube videos. All I’ve wanted to do was create content that people want to watch and that I would also be passionate about making. I was already consuming this kind of content daily in my free time and thought to myself, “Why not do it myself? Why not me?”

I am not the best video editor or photo editor, but I’ve tried my best to learn and apply what I can. I’ve spent years putting in all my effort and have built up a community that genuinely loves what I do, and I couldn’t be more proud of that. Every video that is currently on my channel is voiced by me, the background footage is recorded by me, and every second of content is put together by me manually.

I see other content creators in my niche who are just fine. I’m not going to say that just because they’re allowed, I should be allowed too, but I am just confused about the lack of transparency regarding what exactly I’ve done wrong. I am unable to get any feedback from YouTube that isn’t a templated answer that I’ve seen numerous other creators receive, straight-up copied and pasted.

I’m not going to list any names, but these other creators are also reading stories from a third-party website while providing their own opinions, commentary, takes, etc., on the situation. They’ve also built communities around themselves that watch for their storytelling and opinions, just as I have. Their thumbnails are also similar to each other at a glance, and of course, maybe this is also a red flag, and maybe they’ll also be flagged in the future. But what I am working with right now is that they are bigger than me and, therefore, are also role models to me for what is allowed as I make my own content.

I don’t really understand it, but of course, I want my thumbnails to follow some sort of pattern or familiarity. I want my viewers to know that it’s MY video when they look at the formatting of it, like it’s my branding. I did not think that was such a red flag, if it is.

The noticeable differences from what I’ve observed are that, instead of text captions, they use screenshots of text boxes to read from, and they don’t have gameplay backgrounds. Most of the time, it’s either a static image or an image that barely moves. But they are still reading the stories and providing their own thoughts, reactions, commentary, personal expression, etc., which I think makes their content transformative.

If I changed my content to be similar to theirs by reading from a text box, assuming that was the problem, that would be difficult. The reason I use captions is so my viewers can watch me play in the background. A giant text box in the middle of the screen would make them unable to see what I’m doing.

Is the gameplay itself the problem? It takes an unreal amount of time to actually record and constantly do things in the background. It takes a lot of manual time and effort. I don’t understand or see why that would be unacceptable or why it would require me to have a static or barely moving background like other creators in my niche.

The gameplay that I chose, Minecraft, is nostalgic to me and to many viewers. I’ve met people in real life who have told me the exact same thing about this type of content. I could’ve chosen other games that I’ve enjoyed playing as well, like Terraria or Valheim, or chosen to try Hytale or Windrose, but I chose Minecraft because it’s familiar and cozy to me.

My viewers have watched me build up my world from Day 1, and if you go back to the first video I currently have on my channel, you can see the progression I’ve made to get to where I am in my latest video.

That’s a lot to say that I’m just trying to get clear answers from YouTube, and I believe that I’m not mass-producing content or making repetitive videos to be labeled as an inauthentic content creator. They take a lot of time and effort to make, and the videos are clearly different from video to video, which also includes a lot of personal expression that is unique to me.

Please do not let all of the work, effort, and genuine content creation I’ve put in disappear into an automated loop, YouTube.

I am feeling completely helpless. My channel, “ScalingStories” 125K+ subscribers, is something I have put my heart, time, and livelihood into.

I have been fighting an “inauthentic content” flag, but my content is not mass-produced, repetitive, or low-effort. Every video is voiced by me, manually edited by me in DaVinci Resolve, and uses background footage recorded by me.

Each video takes me around 5–7 hours a day to make. I add my own thoughts, reactions, commentary, entertainment, and personal expression throughout my videos. I also use several custom-drawn avatars to better represent myself during talking segments and convey emotion to my viewers.

After I was removed from the YouTube Partner Program on January 27, 2026, I spent three months thoroughly reviewing the guidelines, overhauling my channel, changing my format, and deleting videos that may not have aligned with YPP policies. I rebuilt my channel from January 27 to April 27, 2026, because I wanted to do this the right way.

But I was denied again for the same “inauthentic content” policy and told I cannot reapply until July 27, 2026. The most frustrating part is that I feel like I am only getting generic responses instead of a real explanation from a human specialist. If the exact problem is not explained, how am I supposed to fix it?

I am asking for a fair, manual review of my current channel. Please do not let months of work, effort, and genuine content creation disappear into an automated loop.

The only feedback I’ve received is to check my case from months ago, when I was initially flagged for inauthentic content, and I’m at a complete loss about what to do with that. I thoroughly reviewed the guidelines and fully overhauled my channel from January 27 to April 27. Every piece of content currently on my channel should now abide by the guidelines.

I am just an amateur gaming and storytelling content creator. I do not have the fanciest animations, nor do I know how to make the smoothest videos. However, I show up every day for my fans and try my very best.

I am not asking for special treatment. I just want a real person to review my channel and provide me with feedback, because I truly have put my heart and soul into this channel for the past three years, and being labeled for inauthentic content is heartbreaking.

You've made a mistake. I need a real person/specialist to review my channel. You have flagged other creators for “inauthentic content,” but after a real person manually reviewed their channels, that decision was overturned and their monetization was restored. There are several cases like that across this platform, so I know it is possible.

It is not fair to make me wait another 90 days just to have a chance to reapply for the program when I have done nothing wrong. I have reviewed your policies, and my videos do not violate them.

I am requesting that a real person or specialist review my channel’s partnership program status after I was recently denied monetization. I was cited for “inauthentic content,” which is described as: “Content that appears mass-produced or repetitive to increase views without adding significant educational or other value.”

My content is not mass-produced or repetitive to increase views, and it does add significant commentary, entertainment, and educational value. My videos are voiced by me and manually edited in DaVinci Resolve, which takes me around 5–7 hours a day. The gameplay is also played by me. I also use several custom-drawn avatars to better represent myself during my talking segments throughout my videos, helping me better express the emotions I am feeling and trying to convey to my viewers.

The only repetitive elements in my content are my intros and outros, which are allowed under your guidelines. Your guidelines state: “Examples of what is allowed to monetize, including but not limited to: Same intro and outro for your videos, but the bulk of your content is different.”

I explained all of this in my appeal video, which was said to be reviewed by a human reviewer. However, the appeal video is unlisted and still shows a view count of 0. Because of this, I do not believe anyone watched my video, yet my appeal was still denied and my content was confirmed as “inauthentic.”

I am being denied the chance to reapply to the YouTube Partner Program until July 27, 2026. That is not right or fair to me. I was previously removed from the program on January 27, 2026. During that time, I thoroughly reviewed my own channel and overhauled it, which included changing my format and deleting videos that may not align with the program’s policies. I spent three months, from January 27, 2026, to April 27, 2026, rebuilding my channel.

To be denied again for the same policy, “inauthentic content,” after I followed your guidelines and made sure my videos do not violate them, is soul-crushing. I believe my channel was not properly reviewed and may have been evaluated by AI. I am requesting that a real person or specialist speak with me and review my channel, as I am a genuine, passionate content creator who wants to be part of your program.
