@vijay_riar56136@VinnysCorner1 False. He sits right in the middle of other HOF first basemen. On the other hand, I think Don Mattingly should be in the hall for his ten gold gloves.
@Hoopss Yes, it was true at the time and still true today. Grant and Armstrong were destined to leave after the first dynasty, and he wasn’t going to rebuild after the second. No one really cared that much, but it was true. It takes a team to win a ship.
@nut_history@HouckToby I’ve never heard or seen an argument for Rose as “best” or “greatest” hitter ever, due to the obvious power factor. I usually hear about Rose in terms of being an overall player, an ultimate competitor, including baserunning and being a utility player in the field
@super_annoyed@Sipowicz1042@MarchandSurgery@Forbes There was no “magical day” but Barry Goldwater running for president on a platform against the Civil Rights Act concluded the Republican and Democratic parties switch on those issues.
@kachinuel@BleacherReport Waaa, fake outrage. I guess the world needs something new to cry about. There’s lot of high scorers throughout history who didn’t win the MVP. Get over it. You missed a large chunk of the season. Kobe didn’t win MVP the year he averaged 35 ppg.
@raygundan@SawyerMerritt You might feel that way, but the Honda CEO directly saying they won’t be able to compete is pretty damning evidence to the contrary.
