Fri/Sat/Sun - Civil War Days at Fort Knox Historic Site features Civil War living history demos including cannon firing and camp life in the mid-1800s. Authors Brian Swartz and Angeli Perrow have book signings and Long Journey performs on Saturday.

We had an amazingly busy 2021 season with more than 60,000 guests riding the elevator to the Observatory and over 110,000 visitors exploring Fort Knox in Maine. Even though we had to cancel Fright again, we clearly have many fans and look forward to seeing you all again in 2022!
Sadly, we decided to cancel Fright at the Fort again this year. COVID19 concerns are too challenging to hold Fright worthy of its reputation but we're still planning a fun Halloween event. Thank you all for the support over this season. Fright at the Fort will return in 2022!

Fort Knox Historic Site and the Penobscot Narrows Bridge Observatory have been open since May 1st and so far, attendance is even higher than pre-Covid. Thank you all for the support!

The Fort Knox Maine grounds are usually open to the public during our off season, (Nov - Apr), but we plan to close the gates tomorrow in preparation for the snowstorm tonight. Stay safe and stay warm! Join us on May 1st when the Fort and Observatory open for 2021!
