I’m feeling fulfilled and challenged, in a good way, with my work under #mybrotherskeeper @lacountylibrary. I look forward to each and every session. https://t.co/BQZ5XGSPdO

This incredible artist was inspired by a tale I shared during an evening of storytelling at the Burbank Library here in Southern California. https://t.co/BQZ5XGSPdO

I was the “surprise” keynote speaker at this 5th grade graduation ceremony. The children’s reaction when they found out was absolutely priceless. #lbschools #lbusd

Today’s Reading is Fundamental @RIFWEB Celebration with students and staff of Voorhis Elementary in Mountain View Unified was an epic ode to literacy promotion. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your community! https://t.co/BQZ5XGSPdO

Going to my car after having spent the morning with an incredible classroom of students, I had to pause and think about what a gift it is to be #blessed enough to be called upon to do this work almost everyday. #storytelling https://t.co/BQZ5XGSPdO

I spent the morning at a Middle School in Perris, CA. They were exhausted from testing, so I offered them a chance to just sit back, relax and enjoy the music and stories. I felt the appreciation in their smiles and laughter from every corner of the room. https://t.co/BQZ5XGSPdO

Just finished performing for students at San Rafael Elementary in #Pasadena. It was a truly heartwarming experience. They made me feel like part of their campus community. Thank you San Rafael! #sanrafaelelementary https://t.co/BQZ5XGSPdO

Last night I returned to one of my favorite places to share stories and time, among a community of our elders. I love an audience that appreciates nuance and the poetry in silence. #storytelling https://t.co/BQZ5XGSPdO

We had a surprise visit this morning from Superintendent Lillian French of Mountain View Unified School District. She stayed for our entire session and sat talking with the students for a few minutes afterwards. That’s dedication! https://t.co/BQZ5XGSPdO

This is what it looks like when your favorite note-taking tool decides it wants to retire. A truly sad parting of ways. Remember the old days of pen and paper? https://t.co/BQZ5XGSPdO

For those of you who’ve read my book “Road of Ash and Dust: Awakening of a Soul in Africa,” here is a small memento from the “Doorway of No Return” experience. https://t.co/GYeTC15dM1

In conversation with the custodian, we realized today is my 12th year visiting #NewcombAcademy @LBSchools! #Blessed to be doing what I love to do and I’m continually inspired by our youth the world over. https://t.co/BQZ5XGBdPe

Do you remember back when “all” schools had art? Not all of them still do. #education https://t.co/BQZ5XGSPdO
