Was 3D TV invented by "smart people out of ideas?" Enthusiasts like us still rave over new and classic 3D content. And I'll take cheap, lightweight glasses over a huge, isolating VR rig. I wouldn't even call 3D "tech" -- it predates photography.

I'm reading many "worst tech of the decade" articles that include 3-D TV. No explanation for the continued release of new and classic Blu-Ray 3D discs, nor the joy shared by audiences at GGSS 3-D movie parties. Of course, a 3-D TV is unmatched for presenting stereo photography.

Oversized, unlabeled cards. Stereoscopes with crummy optics and wobbly cardholders. A headache-inducing experience at the @oaklandmuseumca Andrew J. Russell exhibit. When will museums learn how to properly display #stereophotography?
