This is fear mongering.
1. It costs X nothing to host an image. Azure is .018$ for hot storage and .002$ for cold per GB. With compression you probably cost them a few pennies for all your tweets.
2. The images put into the AI are not being used them to retrain it on the fly.
3. Deleting you old work will do nothing. It will only harm you. And limit your reach. X never deletes data.
4. All social media has AI that is looking and scanning content. Was occurring even before the AI boom. Scanning images using AI is not new. Could have done it in Matlab as early as 2005. It was rudimentary but did work.
Generative AI is bad in most cases. However, if you believe other social media platforms don't have it or use it, you are mistaken. Even the blue butterfly app has it.
@Dexerto Hate to say it but a reminder to be a responsible cat owner and not let your pet wander outside without any supervision, not just because it's damaging to the ecosystem but also because they can get hurt like that, getting ran over or shit like this happening. Poor Piper.
