What did I miss?
So what would it look like to prioritize work that ACTUALLY ladders up to an outcome, or even better yet, the overall company strategy?

"Many startup teams get stuck thinking that because they don’t have a product yet, they can’t set an outcome. That’s because we assume an outcome is only valuable if it’s measurable." - @ttorres

@jennbo80 @onejasonknight I've had this same problem... Any success trying async stand-ups?
I've tried async and found it has its own set of trade-offs. I feel there has to be something in the middle.
@jboogie When writing code, I cannot count the number of times "the answer" became clear after taking a walk or coffee break. Not even thinking about the work.
If a team misses a goal - instead of trying to figure out why the team failed, try running a post-mortem on your outcome first.
Was the outcome well defined? Feasibility, desirability, viability, usability, and ethical assumptions identified? Realistic time commitment? #prodmgmt

"WARNING: Talking for 70% of the discovery call. Decrease talking time to 49%"
@onejasonknight This is great.
How cool would it be if it was more of a push-to-talk setup (muted by default)?
I'd even be on board with a short forced waiting period before you could speak 😅.
Why do we make EVERYTHING easier? Some friction ≠ bad IMO

#OKRs are a battle-tested tool for creating focus and alignment. Without a product vision, the focus and alignment OKRs provide will be uncoordinated and open-ended.
It's worth investing in a product vision.
