It was a pleasure to discuss Shohei Ohtani’s remarkable 2024 season and his impact in Japan with Todd Harris on @sportingplanet_

Just wrapped up a great discussion with @ryuichirot on JAPAN PIVOT about Shohei Ohtani and the deeper meaning behind Japanese baseball culture. From life lessons in high school baseball to what truly motivates Ohtani beyond fame and money. https://t.co/yTOSJ9u5Em
Interesting video by @ryuichirot delving into the quirky and thought-provoking world of Japan's election posters. It offers a fascinating glimpse into Japan's political landscape, where young “candidates” are using elections to simply win attention.

Darvish thinks Murakami still has room for growth because he hasn't done proper weight training.
That's scary considering how Murakami already averages .988 OPS at age 23.
Yu Darvish talks about Munetaka Murakami.
Murakami's Team Japan teammates were telling him, 'You'll never be better than Ohtani' 'He's at another level.' But Murakami responded, 'You never know. I want to catch up to him.'

"What did you think about Ohtani?" Darvish asked Murakami.
"He is amazing."
"But you don't want to lose to him, right?"
"No, I don't want to lose to anyone. What should I do?"
Murakami then began asking Darvish about nutrition and weight training.
It isn’t a big revelation that Ohtani’s unhappy about the Angels not winning. Obviously, he wants to win every year and he’s said so. You shouldn’t read too much into this.
Japanese two-way star Shohei Ohtani arrived home on Tuesday and was critical of his Los Angeles Angels team missing the MLB playoffs again.
"I have a rather negative impression of this season," he said.
Ohtani can become a free agent after next season.

In collaboration with SmartNews Media Research Institute, I interviewed @jkahne about his research, which revealed people with political knowledge aren’t necessarily better at discerning information. (SmartNews is Japan's largest news app provider.)

My exclusive interview with the man who caught Shohei Ohtani’s first home run in the major leagues. He gave the ball away to a 9-year-old Angels fan sitting behind him. https://t.co/7HSONvZeOp
As some of you may know, I created a YouTube channel where I interview experts and guests to discuss Shohei Ohtani, the Los Angeles Angels and all things baseball. Check it out if you are a Halos or baseball fan. https://t.co/IX0dIKvcvw
Masks cut amounts of coronavirus both inhaled and spread into air (though not entirely), according to study from Japan using actual virus. Surgical masks cut inhalation by 47%; infected person wearing mask cut non-masked person inhalation by more than 70%.

@TheRobGunderson @jimbojones2222 @JeongPark52 Not sure exactly what you mean, but I think Jeong’s point is that these safe south Orange County cities spend large chunks of their money on policing. Not apples-to-apples, but as a comparison, NYC spends $6 billion on police. Their total budget is $93 billion in FY2020.
@TheRobGunderson @jimbojones2222 @JeongPark52 Even if you exclude the animal services, it’s still above 50% of the GENERAL FUND EXPENDITURES for 18-19 and 19-20.
