Yesterday the Sheriff's Office celebrated the retirement of Head Dispatcher and Jail Administrator, Judy Top. We thank her for her 32 year of service and dedication to the Sheriff's Office and our community. We congratulate her and wish her well in this next chapter of her life.

in alcohol-impaired-driving crashes during the Thanksgiving holiday period. Please plan ahead and enjoy your holiday weekend.

Though this winter storm may have effected the travel plans of many, the Sheriff's Office would like to remind everyone to drive safely and not drink and drive. The Thanksgiving holiday is the deadliest on roads. According to the the NHTSA, from 2012 to 2016, over 800 people died

On October 18, 2019, Deputy Roberts and Deputy Bos were dispatched to a call for an unconscious male in a vehicle at Jackrabbit Junction in Sibley. That man was Charles Klaassen. The Deputies shocked Klaassen with an AED and did CPR until the ambulance crew arrived and took over.

On October 31, 2014 Sgt Julius was dispatched to a call for an unconscious male at the Alley 7 in Sibley. The man in need of assistance was Gary Iedema. When Sgt Julius arrived on scene he shocked Iedema with his AED (automated external defibrillator) before the ambulance arrived

Sergeant Matt Julius and Deputies Zane Roberts and Tyler Bos were acknowledged for their roles in providing vital life saving measures to Sibley residents Gary Iedema and Charles Klaassen.

Dispatcher Sande Smith was recognized for her 15 years of service.

November 13, 2019 was a day of many acknowledgements at the Sheriff's Office.

Lieutenant Seth Hofman was recognized for his 25 years of service
