Not only this: 90% of the isekai stories aren't even doing anything interesting with it. Almost every isekai story is just a bad fantasy story that uses isekai as a crutch

There are too many fantasy isekai and not enough pure fantasy sword and sorcery anime like Record of Lodoss War. Let a fantasy world live and breathe and stand on its own merit. Don't use an isekaied protagonist as a crutch to immerse viewers. Don't say the world is a video game.
