Olive Dell has gone textile and the Bare Burro is no more. So long, and thanks for all the sunscreen. The Dare To Be Bare 5K will be at Glen Eden 6/1/2025.

With the conversion of Olive Dell to a textile facility, the Bare Burro won't be happening any more. We thank our followers for their support, and we look forward to supporting the Dare To Be Bare 5K Run at Glen Eden on June 1, 2025.

For some, it's an I-will-if-you-will dare. For many, it's a first encounter with group nudity. All are welcome, runners & their supporters cheering them on, to enjoy the race and Olive Dell's facilities.

Registration starts in January.

As autumn approaches and the days get shorter (and colder) on the horizon is the upcoming 2023 Bare Burro 5K Trail Run, set for Sunday, April 30, in just 200 days.

At 10:30 that morning, more than 200 runners will face the challenging 5K course wearing nothing but sunscreen, running shoes, and the occasional hat and/or sports bra. For some, it's an annual event. For some, it's a chance to check an item off the bucket list.

Done deal.

Some 200 runners hit the course yesterday, and many of them stayed and spent the day. The medals have been given out, the congratulations given, the date for next year has been set: April 30, 2023.

We hope to see all of you again next year.

The triumphal leap into the pool is a lot easier to recover from after the Bare Burro 5K at Olive Dell Ranch. Your dry clothes are right where you left them.
