i really am quite excited about these two features!

as i type this i’m pacing back and forth in my office thinking through how we can put both of these features on display at the 2,500-person DTF party happening at ETH denver.

at the party, we’ll all construct a DTF live together on the reserve index protocol.

each guest picks a token on base as they enter the party and we record everyone’s choice - that defines the index. not sure what to pick? no worries, we’ll have a few defaults like $RSR, $DTF, $ETH and $BTC.

each guest can choose how much of their own money they want to invest into the DTF. we’re still working out the rules for this but we’ll probly not make it required, so guests can choose not to participate financially, or if someone’s feeling ballsy they can drop $25k in and see what happens.

guests can pay with card, cashapp, or crypto, and they don’t need a crypto wallet address, they’ll get handed a business card with a seed phrase on it.

at the end of the night, everyone receives their share of the DTF, based on how much they each bought in.

but that’s not all they get - they also get airdropped their share of governance token, 100% of which is distributed to guests or locked in liquidity! (if that gov token is trading at any value, they’ll very likely come out ahead for the night, producing a fun first encounter with the reserve index protocol.)

hence, the DTF will not only be defined by the choices each guest makes on their way into the party, it will be governed by that same crew, plus anyone else who decides to buy into the gov token over time.

if the 2,500 guests decide they believe in their new index DTF and they collectively promote it, it could gain in TVL. the bigger it gets, the more fees would flow to the gov token holders and to RSR holders via the protocol’s rev share, so any growth would bring value to reserve as a whole as well as to the people that created and govern it. pretty cool if you ask me!

I would like to kindly bring to your attention an issue with the regeneration settings on the Model Y. It seems there is no longer an option to set the regeneration level to “low,” which poses a significant safety concern in snowy conditions.

The challenge arises when you release the gas pedal, and the regeneration system engages so strongly that it causes a loss of friction on all four wheels. This situation can lead to hazardous driving conditions, particularly on icy or snowy roads. Unfortunately, I am aware of at least a couple of accidents related to this issue.

I would greatly appreciate it if your team could look into this matter and explore potential solutions to make driving safer for those in snowy climates.
