When I took a course in Communication, one of the first things they made me do was slow down my speech.
At the time, I didn’t understand why.
Today, whenever I meet someone who talks very fast, I just smile because I know exactly what’s happening.
In many cases, people who speak quickly have minds that process information at an incredible pace. They move from one idea to another in seconds, often long before everyone else has caught up.
I bet people at Chowdeck have to chase Femi around with a Pen and Paper just to catch up with his thought process.
I got to school to pick Baby girl and her classmate(a boy) brings her bag to me saying
“The bag is too heavy for her to carry”
Meanwhile,he’s carrying his bag,his lunch bag and my Baby’s bag!
Na so men dey start o!
Two petty reasons I want to do my masters?
Firstly, I get to do a convocation shoot😭I didn't get to do for my BSc
Secondly, to prove to that rubbish school I went to that I can do far better than that rubbish 2:2 they made me graduate with🥲
My monthly allowance didn’t stop after University..
After NySC, I proceeded to doing masters after Covid 2020
All through 2020 I was receiving over 150k monthly, sometimes it varied, plus I was deep into crypto, my first withdrawal was $1400
I had this mindset, case I was seeing money..
During My Masters, my monthly allowance bumped up to 350k - 400k
Now there was no way I’d ever consider applying for a job that paid 150k or 200k
Cause I was living in comfort with my allowance..
After My masters, my allowance did not stop, cause halfway through my Masters, my partner also Started giving me Girlfriend allowance monthly…
Till date, my monthly allowance is higher now
The point, these extra funds made me quite comfortable and I never saw myself working for anything that’d pay me less than what I was receiving from the comfort of my home..
Hence why I was able to venture into Business, from 2020 till date, my privilege afforded me Ease so I was able to Learn various SkILLS without having to bother about Money..
I started several businesses and ended them because I could afford to without fear..
I went as far as house hunting even while unemployed cause my monthly allowance could afford me living alone.
The point is, you are very valid if it’s from a place of Privilege, also if it’s from a place of “Knowing your worth and what you have to offer”
But if it’s the opposite, please wake up to the realities of this country
Please don’t start your birthday wishes with “A queen was born.” I was born crying like everyone else. Just say “Happy Birthday” and keep it moving. 😂🎂
No Rush, its all about Me Today…
Happy Birthday to me
The wait is over.
We have 2 golds: Chimdiebube Onwubiko and Don Anele Munachimso.
We are the best in the world!
Egejurum Onyedikachi’s name was omitted. He should have a gold.
She didn’t have to mention that at all. Some people just don’t know how to receive a compliment and move on, they will always find a way to make you feel like they are not worth it.
When they compliment your dress, you don’t have to mention it’s thrift, just say “thank you.”
I saw this babe and complimented her nails. I didn’t ask anything after that.
She said “thank you” and told me they were fake nails from Temu….. Girrrrrrrl, no one asked 😭.
NEWS UPDATE 🚨🗞️
Apostle Tolu Agboola once prophesied about what is happening in Nigeria 🇳🇬 today, including the changes in NYSC.
“You’ll see what NYSC will become, they won’t cancel it but it’ll become something”
~ Apostle Tolu Agboola
I interviewed people at Shell for years, and here is the quiet thing almost no one tells you.
You are not rated on results alone. You are rated on the how, not just the what.
Two engineers run two projects. Both fail to hit target. One gets sidelined. The other gets promoted. Same outcome, different fate.
The difference was never the result. It was behaviour. The one who won gave daily updates, pulled his bosses into the problem early, and ran a lessons-learned session when it was over.
He turned a failed project into proof that he was safe to bet on.
Deliver, yes. But learn to be seen delivering. In most rooms, that is the actual skill.
