We've just deployed an update to https://t.co/VzGOYQQNuk
You can now filter the MTG player rankings by nationality
There's QoL improvements and all the data from recent events, too
We uncovered a lot more Nationals history as well, but if you can fill holes, please reach out
https://t.co/4l7VNX4QM8 just got its post-PT StS update.
Update includes the usual major events, also nationalities for lots of players. This makes rankings by nationality a bit more meaningful for "newer" players.
Future updates should happen in the week after each PT/Worlds.
@prosekdan Thanks, good catch!
I've corrected it in the source.
Updates are going to be infrequent as usual, but maybe we'll have a post-PT update soon :)
30 years ago to the day Michael Loconto won the very first PT against Bertrand Lestrée in the final.
Fittingly we just deployed a nice "little" update to https://t.co/VzGOYQQNuk
You can now filter player rankings by season and of course we added a bunch of recent tournaments.
@_SeanGoddard_ Many non-lethal Bolts have been cast on Tarmogoyf, but by asking about the interaction beforehand you clearly demonstrated awareness of what's going on.
Why wouldn't you get a helpful answer here?
Also, it's probably (mainly) not your card that creates this difficulty.
@CavernOnHumans Only if you tell me which country they are from.
Wizards used to add a country code to their name, but they stopped doing that about 5 yrs ago.
I'd rather not add anything than guess, but I'll add anything that someone tells me.

@_Juomaru Hi Thirawat, I saw that you liked my post about Gatheringstats. I wonder if you would be able to tell me a bit about Thailand Nationals.
For example for 2007 I know who was on the team, but I don't even know who was the champion.
@jenara19 It depends. The irl ones I count as Pro Tours, the Arena ones not.
Structurally the irl ones were very close to actual Pro Tours, but the Arenas were very different despite the shared name, so I decided they were not Pro Tours after all.
@SaffronOlive Back then you knew there were about 300 cards and you had to learn about them bit by bit.
Nowadays you could know all the cards in theory, but there are just way too many for any "normal" person to absorb them all.
Not judging, but that seems fundamentally different to me.
https://t.co/VzGOYQQNuk is live with a big update (up to Magic Spotlight Series Utrecht)
If you want to know anything about historical MtG tournament results, check it out
@BLC_Tom@maxtortion@PlayMTG@Wizards_MagicEU It makes it understable that they would want to check, but I agree ofc that there is not reason at all to make the interaction itself unpleasant in any way.
@BLC_Tom@maxtortion@PlayMTG@Wizards_MagicEU Hey Tom, thank you very much writing this. My thoughts on the weekend exactly. Kudos!!
One small thing, I can understand that they wanted to check, if somebody with a large amount of tix got them legitimately. There was at least one incident of a player trying to steal tix.
