Marissa is an elementary teacher.
She's constantly rationing basic supplies, like paper and pencils.
The govt's $750 supplies card won't fix that, as it cuts into existing classroom funding – and does nothing to address the $6.4 billion in chronic underfunding facing #OntEd.
#CatholicTeachers marched alongside workers, unions, & labour activists at #LabourDay2026 parades across Ontario!✊

✅Smaller class sizes
✅Fulsome resources and supports for every student
✅Real investment in schools
We shouldn't have to run a campaign to tell the govt this... #KnowMore
Ontario students deserve a fully funded education system and a government who makes that a priority.
S/O to the community members across the province who joined educators at #FightFord protests this weekend in support of #OntEd!✊
From pencils & paper to books & learning resources, teachers & education workers regularly use their own time & money to fill gaps created by government underfunding — and those gaps are only getting bigger. #OntEd students deserve BETTER!

The time for action is NOW!
On Sept 16, #CatholicTeachers will join 275,000+ teachers & education workers across Ontario in wearing red and purple to support publicly funded education.
We will not stop advocating for the funding, supports, and resources #OntEd students need!
We urged @PaulCalandra to start bargaining early, to best support #OntEd students, teachers, and education workers.
He refused, doubling down on centralization schemes instead of student success.
Now we're starting the school year without new contracts.

Across the province, #CatholicTeachers showed up this weekend to #FightFord and #FightForEducation!✊
