The entire ophthalmology community is aware of the concerns surrounding @OpticalExpress, so I continue to be astonished that anyone would risk their professional reputation by working for them.ย
Are they really that desperate for money?
Interestingly, on both his personal website and LinkedIn profile, heโs omitted to mention his previous work at Optical Express ๐ค

Campaigners outside @OpticalExpress Harley Street premises popped across the road to @OptimaxUK to say hi this afternoon ๐

Please note that some details have been redacted from the screenshot at the writerโs request, asking for their identity to remain confidential due to an ongoing legal claim against @OpticalExpress and the surgeon.

An enjoyable โ๏ธday outside @OptimaxUK Finchley Road premises.
People, especially those considering surgery (until speaking with us!), are always shocked to learn that the #refractivesurgery industry is unregulatedโฆ
and that many thousands of patients are left with life changing damage, abandoned by the companies responsible and forced to depend on the @NHS for aftercare.
The Judge found against me - based on a prank I played on the media 30 years ago, even though he considered serious harm to my reputation was caused by letters sent to @OpticalExpress patients who had mentioned my name in their complaints!
But I expect the @GOC_UK (โWe protect the public by upholding high standards in eye care services in the UKโ) will find grounds to refuse, a familiar response from all these #notfitforpurpose regulatory bodies!ย

NB: With regard to the patient representative organisations invited to participate in the Thematic Review research, I have submitted an FOI request asking for their identities.
