On the weekend we held our Galilee alumni retreat with the theme of
Icons: Gazing on the Divine Mystery. We learned how to read icons, prayed to them and wrote our own.
This week we travelled to Geraldton to facilitate the Galilee 1.0 prayer retreat at the Hermitage. We explored different forms of prayer, including Ignatian contemplation and praying with the labyrinth.

Last weekend we had our final Gathering for the Perth Galilee 1.0 program with a retreat on Prayer at the Salvatorian Spirituality Centre. Participants had time to experience and reflect on different forms of prayer such as prayer walks and using art to pray.
On Friday, members of CIWA facilitated a session with staff from @OurLadyofGrace3 on their founding order's charisms and their own contribution to the charism of the school.
A great session at ย Borromeoโs Way Senior School leaders and Northern Coastal Parish Priest Network held last week. We ย also had an amazing special guest speaker, the inspiring Br Olly Pickett from Wheelchairs for Kids talking on the importance of Christian Service for mission.

Last week CIWA was lucky enough to work with students from @stpetersprimaryschool and facilitate their Eucharist retreat prior to receiving the sacrament for the first time. Through the day we explored the Eucharist as a meal, a community, a sacrifice and as a memorial.
Last week the Institute taught two @notredameaus courses in Fremantle during winter school, allowing students to learn how to plan in RE and work towards their @CatholicEdWA accreditation.
Our course offerings have expanded to include a Professional Certificate of Catholic Social Ecology with support from @caritasaust, @catholicearthcare and @catholicedwa. See link in bio for more details.
CIWA staff facilitated a T.I.T.U.S./Godly Play formation day in Geraldton @CatholicEdWA recently. Participants spent time learning about the context of and reflecting on scripture before setting their hands to making props to help them to tell the stories to their classes.
On the weekend the staff of CIWA were at @notredameaustralia for their #undaopenday2024. It was great to meet prospective students and their parents and talk about the courses we offer.
Last week CIWA staff facilitated a day at @stlawrences where the teachers learned about biblical storytelling in the RE curriculum and how they could utilise the strategies with their classes. Then the EAs stepped in to make some resources. A really productive day was had by all.
