Yesterday we finally released our chrome extension.

A quick word on what it does: the offchain chrome extension brings offchain straight into your browser, so you can send, trade, and pay without leaving the page you're on.

Today we're expanding our mobile apps and extension with support for more tokens.

We're adding @monero, the go-to privacy standard token. Send monero fully private now, even when you have no internet.

More updates coming to the extension too. Soon, if you're browsing an amazon page and click the extension, it auto selects the product to buy.

Yesterday we shared a demo video of how silent payments work through our app.

Today we're releasing offchain silent payments transfer done through our web dapp as well as offline via SMS.

We also have an offchain cold wallet in development which we'll be sharing details about in the coming days. Offchain cold wallets basically turn your old device into a cold wallet, similar to how a Ledger works, giving you self-custody hardware-grade security without buying new hardware.

Tutorial: Offchain Silent Payments

Silent payments let you receive crypto on a single static address while a fresh unlinkable address is generated for every single payment under the hood.

To make this work we built a new type of wallet derived using the owner public key inspired by the bitcoin silent payments.

Next up: we're building an SDK so any developer can drop silent payments into their own wallet or protocol.

Silent payments will be integerated into every part of the ecosystem, use them to buy stuff on Amazon via Offchain Shop, trade perps, and power our upcoming big release, Offchain Ledger.

The ecosystem keeps growing, and privacy is the thread tying it all together.

Silent payments on @solana inspired by Bitcoin silent payments.

Quick context on how BTC silent payments work. You publish one static address that you can share anywhere. But every time someone pays you, the funds don't actually land at that address. Instead, the sender uses your public key to mathematically derive a brand new one-time address for that specific payment. So on chain, every payment shows up at a different address with nothing linking them back to you. You scan the chain with your private key to find and claim what's yours.

We built the same thing on Solana. You share one static address. Every incoming payment gets routed to a freshly derived address that only you can detect and spend from. An outside observer just sees unrelated addresses receiving funds, with no way to tie them back to you.

Introducing OffChain Silent Payments.

One address. Infinite stealth wallets. Nobody can link your payments to you onchain. Not even the person paying you.

Every OffChain user just got a brand new kind of Solana wallet. An osp1q... address you can paste anywhere. Twitter bio, invoice, group chat. The address itself reveals nothing about your real wallet.

Inspired by Bitcoin's BIP-352, adapted for Solana.

On signup we derive an extra X25519 stealth meta key. The public half gets bech32m-encoded into a clean osp1q... string, same family as Taproot's bc1p.

Because the address is deterministic from your meta key, every existing user already has one.

The sender never actually pays your osp1q address directly.

Their wallet computes an ECDH shared secret against your meta key, hashes it to a scalar, and derives a fresh one-time Solana address only you can spend from. SOL or USDC lands there. Our indexer scans the chain with your scan key, recomputes the same secret, finds the drop, and credits it to your balance.

To anyone watching the chain, every payment to you looks like a payment to a wallet that has never existed before.
