This is why you can bet with 100% certainty that robots will ACTUALLY replace the majority of human jobs. Why would a company take the risk of hiring a human? Why deal with activists, troublemakers, people trying to sue, lazy, grievance merchants, complainers, people pretending to work, and all the messy and awful things that humans do? You wouldn't. You don't have to assume that risk. If a robot can produce the results you want, cheaper, and without the headaches or risks that a human bring, you're going to choose robot 100 times out of 100.

This extends beyond work. People will begin partnering and forming relationships with robots as well, for the same reasons above. At the beginning the inaugural pioneers of this will of course be hated, tarred, lambasted, mocked, some probably even physically attacked, by the immune response of crazy society, but it will happen, slowly but surely.

People will opt into robot, because humans have become so toxic and awful that why deal with them when you don't have to?

Humans did this to themselves. If humans were a joy to be around, the discussions might be different. But because humans have become so nasty, so litigious, so social media brained and angry, employers, and even people who want to be in relationships, will naturally opt into the safer, cheaper, and more pleasant options: robot.
