Can journalists please chase Linda Reynolds through a car park and loiter outside her home and ask her repeatedly about what she said in parliament?
Hoping for some balanced media coverage.
Robert De Niro’s statement on Donald is perfect. Please read it:
“I’ve spent a lot of time studying bad men. I’ve examined their characteristics, their mannerisms, the utter banality of their cruelty. Yet there’s something different about Donald Trump.
When I look at him, I don’t see a bad man. Truly.
I see an evil one.
Over the years, I’ve met gangsters here and there. This guy tries to be one, but he can’t quite pull it off. There’s such a thing as “honor among thieves.”
Yes, even criminals usually have a sense of right and wrong. Whether they do the right thing or not is a different story — but — they have a moral code, however warped.
Donald Trump does not. He’s a wannabe tough guy with no morals or ethics. No sense of right or wrong. No regard for anyone but himself — not the people he was supposed to lead and protect, not the people he does business with, not the people who follow him, blindly and loyally, not even the people who consider themselves his “friends.”
He has contempt for all of them.
We New Yorkers got to know him over the years that he poisoned the atmosphere and littered our city with monuments to his ego. We knew first hand that this was someone who should never be considered for leadership.
We tried to warn the world in 2016.
The repercussions of his turbulent presidency divided America and rattled New York City beyond imagination. Remember how we were jolted by crisis in early 2020, as a virus swept the world. We lived with Donald Trump’s bombastic behavior every day on the national stage, and we suffered as we saw our neighbors piling up in body bags.
The man who was supposed to protect this country put it in peril, because of his recklessness and impulsiveness. It was like an abusive father ruling the family by fear and violent behavior. That was the consequence of New York’s warning getting ignored. Next time, we know it will be worse.
Make no mistake: the twice-impeached, 4-time indicted Donald Trump is still a fool. But we can’t let our fellow Americans write him off like one. Evil thrives in the shadow of dismissive mockery, which is why we must take the danger of Donald Trump very seriously.
So today we issue another warning. From this place where Abraham Lincoln spoke — right here in the beating heart of New York — to the rest of America:
This is our last chance.
Democracy won’t survive the return of a wannabe dictator.
And it won’t overcome evil if we are divided.
So what do we do about it? I know I’m preaching to the choir here. What we’re doing today is valuable, but we have to take today into tomorrow – take it outside these walls.
We have to reach out to the half of our country who have ignored the hazards of Trump and, for whatever reason, support elevating him back into the White House. They’re not stupid, and we must not condemn them for making a stupid choice. Our future doesn’t just depend on us. It depends on them.
Let’s reach out to Trump’s followers with respect.
Let’s not talk about “democracy.” “Democracy” may be our holy grail, but to others it is just a word, a concept, and in their embrace of Trump, they’ve already turned their backs on it.
Let’s talk about right and wrong. Let’s talk about humanity.
Let’s talk about kindness. Security for our world. Safety for our families. Decency.
Let’s welcome them back.
We won’t get them all, but we can get enough to end the nightmare of Trump, and fulfill the mission of this “Stop Trump Summit.””
@GaryFallon2@FairAusPol “Fool on the Hill” was not a Beatles composition - only a cover of a song from “The Fantasticks”. If the Dudd wants to call me, I’ll point him in the right direction.

So many of the horrible things happening in America right now, like teaching our children slaves were lucky to learn skills, or allowing women to bleed out in hospital parking lots, or pushing migrants into rivers to drown, could be stopped by the women who look exactly like me.

BREAKING: The Guardian drops bombshell on Trump, reveals that Atlanta Fulton County prospector Fani Willis will hit him with a “sprawling racketeering indictment,” and “12 other people” will be charged as part of Trump’s “criminal enterprise.”
But it gets WAY worse for Trump…
Because these are state charges rather than federal charges, neither Trump nor any other Republican who wins the 2024 presidential election will be able to to pardon Trump — so if he is convicted, he will certainly face a mandatory sentence in prison that cannot be overturned.
The Guardian also reports that, “The racketeering statute in Georgia requires prosecutors to show the existence of an “enterprise” – and a pattern of racketeering activity that is predicated on at least two “qualifying” crimes — and that District Attorney Fani Willis will hit Trump with “a racketeering indictment predicated on statutes related to influencing witnesses and computer trespass.”
But that’s not all. The Guardian report continues, revealing that:
“The charge regarding influencing witnesses could include Trump’s conversations with Georgia’s secretary of state, Brad Raffensperger, in which he asked Raffensperger to “find” 11,780 votes, the people said – and thereby implicate Trump.
For the computer trespass charge, where prosecutors would have to show that defendants used a computer or network without authority to interfere with a program or data, that would include the breach of voting machines in Coffee county.
The breach of voting machines involved a group of Trump operatives – paid by the then Trump lawyer Sidney Powell accessing the voting machines at the county’s election office and copying sensitive voting system data.
The copied data from the Dominion Voting System machines, which is used statewide in Georgia, was then uploaded to a password-protected site from where election deniers could download the materials as part of a misguided effort to prove the 2020 election had been rigged.”
The Guardian also reports that Trump will be charged “in the first two weeks of August.”
Tick tock, Trump!

BREAKING: Matt Damon and Ben Affleck threaten Donald Trump, put him on notice that he must stop using the audio from their movies in order to promote his campaign and fundraise money or else they will take serious action.
It all started shortly after Trump was slapped with a federal indictment for violating the Espionage Act, when Trump posted a campaign video on TruthSocial in which he played the victim and begged for donations from his gullible followers.
The problem is that Trump used audio in the video from one of Affleck and Damon’s movies titled Air, a biographical drama starting Michael Jordan.
Affleck and Damon’s studio just released this public statement calling out Trump and sending him a thinly-veiled threat that that they will take legal action if he does it again:
“We had no foreknowledge of, did not consent to and do not endorse or approve any footage or audio from Air being repurposed by the Trump campaign as a political advertisement. Specifically in terms of any and all rights available to us under US copyright and intellectual property law, we hereby, expressly give notice that in the case of any use of material from Air by the Trump campaign where approval or consent is required, we do not grant such consent.”

@Santos4Congress Don’t you let people bring you down. You fought in six world wars, survived the Titanic, invented rock and roll, paid for the last supper, hit six home runs against Cy Young in 1908 and was married to Cleopatra.
You got this, Georgie.
