The National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) is an initiative of Government of India, to have a common mobility card across various transit systems in India. All banks' NCMC cards are accepted in the DMRC network/Airport line. Owing to this, DMRC cards are less in circulation. Further, the Virtual Smart Card (MJQR) is a service introduced by DMRC under the Digital India initiative, which allows passengers the freedom to use smart card facilities through digital means. This facility can be availed via the official ‘Delhi Metro Sarthi’ app. 10% to 20% discount applicable on DMRC Smart Cards is also available on NCMC and Virtual Smart Cards. Passengers asking for smart cards are suggested and directed for purchasing NCMC card/Virtual smart card (MJQR).
