We love hearing from our community and welcome respectful discussion.
To keep our space safe and supportive for everyone, here’s a quick reminder of our community guidelines. 💬💚
🌞 “I'll just have a quick look at the eclipse…”
Absolutely not. Please don't! 😂
If you’re watching the solar eclipse later, protect your eyes and use proper solar viewing glasses or make your own pinhole viewer! (A great activity to do with the little ones today 😉)
Have fun, look up… safely. 👀🌚
Hot weather + summer holidays = time to think ahead. ☀️
With temperatures potentially hitting 30°C+ this week, keep little ones safe:
💧 Keep them hydrated
🧴 Keep reapplying SPF
🧢 Stick to the shade
🛟 Keep a close eye when near water
If they become unwell, NHS 111 can offer advice for urgent concerns that aren’t life-threatening.
🚑 Call 999 for serious or life-threatening illness.
Enjoy the sunshine, just stay safe while you do it! 💚
☀️ The sunshine is sticking around... and so is the heat! 🥵
Whether you're out enjoying the weather or on shift, don't forget to look after yourself in the heat.
💧 Drink plenty of water
🧴 Wear sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses
👕 Choose light, loose-fitting clothing
💦 Cool your skin with water when you can
🏃 Take it easy and avoid strenuous activity
🌳 Stay in the shade, especially between 11am and 3pm
A few simple steps can help you stay safe and enjoy the sunshine. Stay cool, stay hydrated and take care of yourselves! ☀️💚
The summer holidays are here and we're pretty confident you've heard "I'm bored" about 956 times already... let us introduce you to our Little Lifesavers activity! 🚑
It teaches lifesaving skills such as how to make an emergency 999 call, understanding what kind of situation is an emergency, how to perform CPR and how to place someone in the recovery position as well as a virtual tour of an ambulance.
Plus, it's completely FREE!
Don't forget to share a picture with your certificate at the end 💚🤗

Happy #InternationalCastleDay 🏰
We provided the ambulance but the castle supplied the drama. Thankfully no jousting injuries or dragon bites to treat in this era. Back in the real world, our staff and volunteers are ready 24/7 for the emergencies that do happen so remember to use 999 for life-threatening situations and help keep emergency services available for those who need them most 👉 https://t.co/FYXskwCUxS
While you cheer, we'll be here and the best assist you'll make tonight might not be on the pitch! 🤗
Keep an eye on your mates, make sure everyone gets home safely and enjoy the football.
Ambulance crews, call handlers, dispatchers and support staff will be there if you need us but please help us keep our crews available for those who need them most.
Come on, England! ⚽💚
Is your defib ready for the summer break?
School holidays and reduced opening hours can affect whether a defib can be accessed in an emergency.
Before the break:
🛑 Closed or changing your hours?
Update your defib’s availability on https://t.co/PLOGvANEAL, so 999 call handlers don’t direct someone to a defib they can’t access.
✅ Staying open or keeping your defib available?
Record a status check so ambulance services know it’s ready if needed.
Update now: https://t.co/PLOGvANEAL
❤️ Thank you for helping to keep hearts beating.
